RJ guitars have been made in Korea for some time now, but NOT all.
The thing with RJ is that the display guitars are better than the one you buy.

Take this scenario:
1. You pick out a guitar
2. You test the guitar.
3. You tell the clerk you wanna buy it.
4. They bring out the same model from the back room.

Why do they have to do that? Buy the one you tested.

As for RJ:
1. All his guitars are custom made, but he's been selling some of his custom guitars lately (20-40k each)
2. He's not a bad player with a lot of experience under his belt.
3. It's not the guitar, it's the user.
4. He's got the right touch in making "timpla" his setup.

Okay, thanks for the help bro. Cross out ko na ba yung RJ Strat option? Hehehe. Naghanap hanap ulit ako ng mga guitar packs kanina, may nakita akong Reef guitar package sa JB Southmall, selling for only 4.5k!

Original price eh 7.5k, sale kasi. May nakaexperience na ba ng guitar na to dito? Other packages na nakita ko eh yung Fernando Horoscope (about 7.5k) at Fender Squier (10k). I really need help in making my decision.

Ako I would choose the Fender Squire Package. I just love the tone and feel basta gawa ng fender for Strat and Tele. Gusto ko yung Fender Squire Fat Strat sa Yupangco and PP, sana may package din yun kasama na ang amp either fender or squire amp.

Hmmm. The only thing that's preventing me from buying now is that the squier strat comes with single-coil pickups! Baguhan lang ako, pero sa nabasa ko, mas okay daw ang humbucker for metal! Metal kasi ang gusto kong tugtugin.

Kailangan ko ba talaga humbucker para okay sa metal with stock amp? O ayos na naman ang single-coil?

may gitara akoh na strat.. single coil siya at madalas koh siya ginagamit pang metal.. mejo kulang ang dating kc mejo manipis yun sound (duh.. single eh.. hahaha..) pero nasa pagtimpla din kc yun eh.. pero siyempre.. kun talagang high gain dude ka.. i suggest na mag humbucker ka nga..

kaya nga akoh bumili ng v e..

maganda yun squier strat.. for 10k it's worth the price.. pero kun humbucker nga talaga ang habol moh.. try ibanez.. they rock dude.. hahaha \m/
yun yamaha erg naman.. some call it a strat copy with humbucker pickups..

My vote is Yamaha ERG121GP-II kung metal ang tugtugan mo..
it has humbuckers, it's pretty good for a starter guitar..

I guess i'm gonna get the Yamaha package, although hindi ung erg121, ubos na daw kasi.

eg112 ata, hehe, SSH ang pickups, 10k sale price.

I'm picking this over the squier package, 9k. Or should I reconsider the squier?

pareho naman sila strat copies eh.. ahaha.. pero yun nga.. yun yamaha humbucker pickup siya samantalang yun squier single coil nga lang talaga.. it's just a matter of preference because they both are nice quality entry level guitars..

pero for me.. mas versatile yun yamaha na 2-1-1 ang configuration ng pick ups.. kc you can get the single coil sound and the humbucker sound.. hehehe..

Ano marerecommend nyong starter pack saken? I'll be buying kasi for a church na nagsstart pa lang..

it depends pa din sa genre mo..

i have the yamaha starter package before okay naman sya..
issue: wag mong ibibilad sa araw mag chi-chip off un paint.. saka maliit ung nut.. di masarap pang shred..

tonewise: sya kahit stock pickups lang.. need replacement lang ung humbucker

pero go for the squier talaga..
