the "bare bones" pedal board...
« on: September 28, 2010, 12:08:45 PM »
i saw a bunch of people using a very minimal pedal board in the pedalboard thread.

i was thinking of making an easy to carry pedalboard set up for quick jams.

i think a good 4 pedal setup for me would be a dd7(or any of the boss dd's) + blues driver + shredhead + wah

what's you're "bare bones" set up?

Amp footswitch (channel selector and reverb on/off) and a tuner. That's what i use now. But of course i have to bring my amp.

No "pedalboard" yet, but the bones are already there.

Overdrive (A-Bomb) -> Delay ...

Probably stick in a chorus depending on the mood, or a phaser pre-OD. get's the job done,makes the fingers and head work harder  :-D

Get a dirt pedal, a booster, your favorite modulation pedal, your favorite delay pedal, a reverb pedal (if you like) and a tuner.

Just give me an amp with 2 channels, hook up a footswitch with it, a treble booster and I'm done.

This plus amp's onboard delay and reverb. I've got another pedal coming in, an od pedal. So i've got high gain and low gain territory covered.

I'd go for a tuner-OD-Dist-delay set-up.

tc electronics scf > boss ps-3 > ernie ball 6167 > amp.

i rarely need a barebones setup since i only play at home, and when i do play outside it's mainly with acoustics.

Tuner > OD > Boost Pedal > Delay. Stick in a wah if you need one.
