Which is the better detune pedal for Korn, Greyhoundz and Queso songs?

(and no, I won't be taking suggestions for a second guitar. no more space here at home! :P)

thanks! :)

The Drop ought to be the better option, period. That being said, while definitely usable and won't likely be noticed by anyone else unless they listen hard, there is still a little bit of latency when it's engaged. I own one, and while I would like to think that I'm perfectly fine with it, I still find it hard to not notice. And I have yet to encounter a non-MIDI device that does not have this tiny issue.

I think they created the Drop using algorhythms from the Whammy 5. I love how my Whammy 5 tracks and although I can perceive latency when playing alone in my bedroom, somehow it doesn't bother me on stage. It reminds me of the latency I perceive when using a Line 6 wireless 20 feet from the amp. It's pretty much the same length of latency and in a band setting it's hardly noticeable.

Thanks, guys!

What are your tunings, and how does it sound when for example I'm currently tuned to Eb and engage the pedal to drop it down to C, B, or A? Will it still sound clear and heavy for Korn songs? Thanks!

It will sound reasonably clear, as the youtube demos indicate. Some reviews say that distorted sounds are more difficult to detune. I think it's more difficult with clean sounds because there's less artifacts to hide behind.

are you still using yours? if not, I'm a willing buyer here. hahaha.

yeah hindi daw talaga maiiwasan yung X milliseconds na delay sa mga polyphonic pitch/drop tuners, siguro dahil din sa processing time ng pag convert nung guitar signal.

think of input lag in some TVs when playing fighting games on a console. :)

just got my DigiTech Drop. I've never had this much fun playing dropped songs!

here's my cover of Korn's "Blind". Let me know if the recording mix is too flabby. :)
