New Digidesign Speakers Released!!!

Hi All,

To those of you who have been able to hear the Digidesign RM Speakers but is intimidated by its prohibitive price, here's our answer: The Studiophile DSM Series.

The new DSM series speakers are being released under the M-Audio brand. They feature the same Class D amplifiers as the RM speakers, same DSP technology as with any other Digidesign products plus it now has the ability to process digital signals up to 192kHz 24 bit.

hey nice speakers ! question though..

since it's got a digital in, how do you do digital in with only one s/pdif cable ?

Spdif is stereo; one monitor will be assigned as the left channel, for ex., then output via spdif thru to the other monitor assigned for the right channel.

Will try to conduct listening tests for these babies as well, as soon as I get my pair.
personal note: These speakers also rocks. But don't take my word for it. I'll try and make you listen to it.

Cool. A bit pricey pa din. pero its a new model so its not a surprise.
Finally one with 6+ inch woofer.
I only wish it did has an optical spdif input. Pero meron naman digital input na rca (spdif), so ok na din. It has an spdif thru para kabit to another speaker which is very useful.

Since this one is aluminum cone against other m-audio speakers which are kevlar, and I have heared a lot of negative feedback on aluminum cones (especially those of hartke), I am streaching my ears on comments about it. I think it would deliver a more crisp and punch against the soggy and limp of other soft cone speakers. But I am more concerned on the boom.

I havent heared the output of this yet. Is it already available at JB?
