I recently tested a 2016 Gibson Faded T over sa Crescendo Robinsons Magnolia last night and eto mga observations ko. I will be comparing it on my 2007 Gibson Les Paul Standard with 50s Neck (all stock).
Price: 49,999 Pesos ($799 - $850 US price)
They have 2 colors avaialble (Red and Sunburst). I tested the red one. No case...just gig bag.
Build Quality:
First time to try a satin finished guitar.
Weight isn't an issue. Magaan sya.
The neck feels great. Sabi sa specs its a '59 rounded neck profile.
Set-up was ok for me. Not to high and not too low. Pwede na sya gamitin sa gig.
Frets were ok but they were not smooth on the edges. My LP have "school bus" frets and smooth edges
Knobs feels like PRS SE knobs.
Pickup selector switch was ok.
First time to try a guitar with a satin finish. Felt weird.
Sounds:
Compared to the BB V's (precursor to the BB Pro's) on my LP, Medyo bright sounding pickups yung BB Pro's na naka install. Wala akong pick so i just played aggressive fingerstyle and i think ok sya for country chicken pickin' sounds.
Medyo mabilis ang volume drop sa volume knobs and hindi naka "treble bleed". But if you always play with the knobs on 10, this shouldn't be an issue. Wasn't able to play with the tone knobs though. My LP doesn't lose significant high end frequencies pag binawasan yung volume so i guess mine has a stock "treble bleed" wiring.
Overall Impression: Some mods on this guitar could turn it from good to really good.
