Question: BAD sectored Hard Disk - may pagasa pa ba?

Hi mga sir, have any ideas how to rescue a har disk suffering from bad sectors? thanks:)

low level format mo sa CMOS mo makikita yun pero pili lang yung mga board na may option na ganun mostly motherboard na intel ang chipset

try debugging the HD with assembly language.

boot the system to a DOS prompt using a windows 98 disk or
 
Type debug on the A prompt & the following         
A:\> debug         
   F 200 L1000 0      
   A CS:100

xxxx:0106   MOV CX,1

Restart the computer       (CTRL+ALT+DEL)   

This Low level formatting using Assembly language be careful in what you type cause you might damage your HDD. better to use All Caps on the keyboard.

try to download ung utility from the manufacturer's website ( hard disk utility) then mostly sa mga utility nila meron low level format ( zero fill - seagate). hope this help you and ur hdd!!!

may friend akong nagrerepair ng hard drive, kahit bad sector, machine ang gumagawa kaya sure na safe, basta kahit anong sira ng harddrive, importante lang nadedetect at walang tunog na parang may loose sa loob.

natry ko na yung low-level format, tinanggal nga niya yung bad sector pero nabawasan naman disc space mo...is this natural or engot lang talaga ko??? hehehe.

normal lang yun, kasi aalisin nya yung space ng bad sector, para pag finormat mo sa dos, skip lang nya yung may marks ng bs.

meron akong ginagamit na data-retrieving software. it's called GetDataBack by Runtime Systems. ginagamit ito ng FBI agents dati (i dunno lang kung hanggang ngayon). makakaretrieve ka ng data kahit ilang reformat (low-level or not) pa ang gawin mo sa HDD mo. about bad sectors, di ko lang sure kung kaya rin i-retrieve yung data na nakastore dun.

Disk master yung pangalan...ewan ko lang kung familiar kayo dun.

   yung bad sector na hard disk ay mahirap ng ma restore sa dati. pero sabi nila ay kaya pa ay di ko alam yon kasi ay luma na yong aking mga alam. pero kung umaandar pa naman at pwedeng gamitin ok lang maganda lang yan kung gawin mong second drive o slave. kasi di na yan reliable.  kaya yung mga important documents mo jan  back-up an  mo na.
