a monitor problem?
« on: November 15, 2006, 04:43:55 PM »
This morning, binuksan ko tong PC para magprint ng documents... nakasaksak sa separate extension(merong switch) yung Printer. tapos yung monitor naka direct din sa extension kasama yung avr( dati naka saksak yung monitor sa avr, ngayon hindi na, kasi parang ngloloko yung avr ko nun )... ngayon ang problema, nung natapos na akong mag print, so itturn off ko na yung printer, iniswitch off ko yung extension na nagppower sa printer, nung ngyari yun, ng blackout yung monitor ko for 2 sec, then bumalik ulit pero di nag hang, then, mga 5 sec, ng blackout ulit, tapos cguro 5 sec din bago nabuhay, tapos another sec ulit bago ng blackout, sinubukan kong patayin yung monitor, pag bukas ko bumalik sa dati...ilang secs, ng black out nanaman...

while typing this message hindi naman ngyari ulit yung pag bblack out...

ano kayang problema nito? monitor? o virus?

Thanks

First check well the connections, test with another monitor and weigh your options later on. :-)

Try to reseat the cables first from the Back of the monitor to the Video Card. Also check the power cable ng monitor mo... Baka frayed na yung wires nya or may baluktot na pins sa jack...

If the problem persists baka kailangan mong mag reseat ng Video card. Baka ksi marumi na yung loob ng PC mo and accumulated dust can cause static a nakakasira ng mga ICs.

Anyway if the problem persist... use a known good device.. yung gumaganang monitor... kabit mo yung Known good monitor to your system if it works, try to connect your Monitor to a known good PC to try to isolate the problem...

hope this helps... at least hindi ka na mag papacheck ng monitor (if it is really the culprit) sa technician who'll charge a big amount for his service.... pambili na rin ng parts yun or ng moitor sa Surplus... (if di pasok sa budget yung bago)  :-D

i've been experienced those problems na blackout yung monitor,
nilinis ko yung pc na ayus naman... ang problema pala ng pc ko ay yung cables sa likod,
which is i need to open up my monitor to remove the cable and check the wires of it...
 thanks sa mga response

Kung CRT monitors yan malamang flyback.  Hindi ba lumiliit horizontally or vertically.  Cleaning would be best.  ;-)
