If you can provide any hard copy documents or proof of your transaction...then probably, you have a fighting chance on the claim. You already knew that it is fake before you paid...you should have not sent the payment. Hindi ka dapat mahiya. He's the ones selling a fake guitar.
bdo payments.
plus emails and sms.
the seller is now asking me to resell the item, to quote:
Good Morning
Firstly I must clarify the understanding you have developed about the instrument you have purchased. It is what it is and as advertised. An MIC Epiphone Sheraton made in the custom shop in China and at P15000 it is not or has never been indicated as anything else.
If you were expecting a "genuine" version you would need to pay substantially more and in the Philippines it too would most likely have been from China. This is the case with a Dot version available in the local distributors and even the "genuine" Epiphone I purchased has a label "Made in Indonesia". More about this later.
It is always a goal for me to be a source of solution and not a source of problems and so the purpose of this message is to offer possible solutions that will be best for both of us.
We both seem to be continually looking for the right sound from a guitar and the number you have had indicate this to me as I too have had numerous instruments over the years.
Interestingly most of the issues you have raised with the actual instrument are aesthetic and do not relate to the instruments ability to perform.
Your have raised other matters that are mostly irrelevant and I will respond to those later but the first task is to set matters right and my first suggestion is for you to on sell it. The reason I offer this idea is I am unable to do anything much about the situation for 5 weeks while I am in NZ.
The plan I offer as the primary solution is for you to advertise it on OLX and Ayosdito under your name. It is easy to set up an account with these advertisers and with the guitar being available in Manila will be easier to sell I suspect. While the guitar is not what you expected apparently it is however far superior to other instruments available in that price range in the Philippines.
I will provide all the photos and details to be included in the ad and I will provide any backup that may be required after the sale. To all intense and purpose the buyer would be buying it from me with you as my agent just for the sale.
The idea is offered to you so you may get your money back sooner rather than later and as a local sale in Manila will mean it will not need to be returned to Dumaguete.
It is possible it will sell at this time of the year with other people getting extra income or during the 5 weeks we are away.
I will let you take this idea on board and wait for your response so we can get it underway.
The follow up to this plan is to find a solution in 5 weeks when I get back but if it can be sold then we will both have a solution sooner.
Let my know what you think. We are 5 hours ahead of the Philippines in NZ just for reference
Regards
