Best internet provider in Metro Manila

Neku420:
Sky, PLDT or Globe?

These are the options recommended to me so far.

Any thoughts?

I'm considering Sky, bundled with their cable service to also accommodate my mother's special request (na magka-cable since bumili ng bagong TV). Pero My cousin said internet service from Sky is bad. Lag, and all the other hassle.

PLDT, now 2 of my friends recommended this pero you have to have landline daw (which is hindi ko kailangan and will cost extra 300 ata a month). Never called PLDT though to inquire if they have dryloop internet service (DSL without landline).

Now Globe, sabi ng isang friend ko okay daw to since mahilig ako magdownload at magtorrent. Pero Globe has always had bad signal from our place.

Any thoughts?

(Taga Sampaloc, Manila nga pala ako)

Thanks!

:)

I can't say, di ako taga Sampaloc, pero para mas may info ka lang:

unless sureball ka na ok ang signal ng 3G/4G/LTE sa area nyo wag ka na mangarap mag wireless broadband. mabubuwisit ka lang.
Sky sucks, period. walang pinipiling area yan.
Bayan also sucks. for the same hassle of major internet providers, they also take up to two months to send a competent field engineer/tech.
PLDT requires a landline connection. So minus points yun kung di mo naman kailangan. Although mas madali makakuha ng PLDT line kaysa globe because of the sheer size of their infrastructure. their customer service is HORRIBLE (they really don't have your transaction records at hand) and their field engineers are as good as you are, as far as troubleshooting internet connections are concerned. Also the hotline is only available during the day shift.
Globe can provide you a DSL without a phone service. However getting the line is pretty hard because of their much smaller landline user base. Globe has excellent customer service, and by CS i mean their call centers. They  have their lapses, but at least you can actually pinpoint which @sshole screwed up your stuff and they have a complete record of all your transactions. Their field engineers arrive at your place faster than PLDT's by a hair or two, and sometimes you get an engineer that actually understands the internet (maybe because they don'thave that many phone lines anyway).

CeL1916:
PLDT and globe lang ang mapapakinabangan mo, and depende parin sa area ang speed consistency.
I suggest itanong mo sa area within your baranggay ano ang pinaka consistent.

I avoid pldt though just to say fûck em, for they are the reason why our internet speed is so 10 years ago.

umalis na ako sa pldt dsl so far ok naman sky kahit umuulan di bumabagal connection actually ngayon umuulan.
