anyone tried any of these? suggestions/recommendations?

ive been contemplating on getting a media player but then i saw a number of growing android mini tv/pc on online ads. then i thought why not? it has android OS, wifi, hdmi connection, supports external harddrive via USB and most of all, you can browse/watch any internet site using your LED tv!

any suggestions on which brand to look for? ive seen reviews that most of them doesnt offer full HD; though it does say it supports that; most of these are being downscaled to 720p unless you update the firmware?

or probably 2nd hand Wii?

cons:
video/audio out uses traditional RGB?

pros:
playing wii games of course!
can be hooked to an external HD
also, can it play mkv/avi/mp4/vob/mov/flv files? or does it need to be hacked? does it have wifi/browser as well?

Mukhang oks na yang Minix Neo series kung ayaw mo ng mag-configure. Ako kasi, I got a Raspberry Pi to experiment. Installed some Media distro (linux) to test which one is good for my usage. Basically my set-up, External HD -> RasPi -> TV.

cool! i first heard about that raspberry pi on kickstarter program if im not mistaken.

do i need to have a background on linux to use that?

check ka ng quadcores at yung madaling iroot so you can change the appearance ng menu mo etc, also check mo performance if ok siya na nakababad yung ibang android mini sticks madaling uminit so yung iba minomod yan para lagyan ng external or custom heatsink lalo na yung stick type. go for the box types tas get some cheap fams sa cdr king thatll do :)
