A moment in Philmusic.com's History: The site domain was registered in December 1996. We are at most, probably one of the longest running Philippine websites around!
Have you checked out the recently-released Third Eye Centre yet?
Went record shopping in Manila while on vacation out in The Philippines recently. If you're willing to put in the work, go record shopping at various places in the area. I managed to find two albums that I've enjoyed spinning recently: The Long Blondes' Singles collection and The Wake's Here Comes Everybody. For those unfamiliar with The Wake, they were part of the set of bands that Joy Division/New Order manager Rob Gretton signed to the Factory label. This band opened for New Order on some of their shows in the UK and sound so very much like them if Bernard Sumner actually sang on-key long enough (strangely though, I enjoy New Order off-key vocals and all). To me, this band was the actual forebear to music being made by the likes of The Radio Dept and The Philippines' own Moscow Olympics.Read more about The Wake here:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Wake_%28band%29
i'm currently listening to the drums right now."i wanna buy you something...but i don't have ant money, i don't have any money!"

Breakup[edit]On December 5, 2008, Dirty On Purpose posted a blog through their MySpace stating "...we're going our separate ways". They said they weren't interested in recording another album, but are still making music. The band went on to say that their tour with A Place To Bury Strangers will be their last saying, "...we thought it was an appropriate way to wind things down and say goodbye to our friends and fans."
May mga artist talaga minsan with a great sound and/or big 'heart' sa music pero they end quite early no. Like Nirvana, Joy Division and yang Dirty on Purpose.
don't forget the grand daddy of indie bands...the smiths. they only existed for 5 short years but influenced countless other great indie bands and a cult following.
indeed! money is my theme song currently coz i'm broke. for your aural pleasure:
I still like Thurston Moore's music. Never mind that his marital indiscretion brought about the dissolution of his marriage to Kim Gordon and Sonic Youth. Chelsea Light Moving has got to be one of my fave bands of 2013.http://youtu.be/t63myjDkJ8Q
