how to clean sliders/crossfaders?

i often get to read about sliders that requires a bit cleaning from those who sell 2nd hand mixers... may problem is... how do you actually clean em? hehe! help please!

Try some good, non-residue leaving contact cleaner that you can get at most electronics supply stores. There's also the Caig Deoxit brand but I don't know of any local supplier.
