First ever kit. Still learning like a child
GF bought me sticks weeks before the kit arrives. Medyo nararamdaman ko na nasasaktan un mga pads. so I did a quick search at dapat pala nylon ang tip

Question: I borrowed the double peds in the picture. Di ko alam model. Pero kung nakikita niyo, is that ok for the bass? Hindi masisira ung bass pad?

Also got my self a Pro-X Hi Hat pero wala pa ko stand.

Drooling - - - as long felt sir oks yan, pero mas ok kung lagyan mo sya ng konting rubber protector pero wag masyado makapal para hindi ka mag adjust
ng sensitivity ng pad.

First, congrats on your new electric kit.
Wala kang maiistorbo, kasama man sa bahay o kapitbahay. Kahit anong oras pwede mag practice.

Second, newbie sa drums sir?
May I know what makes you decide to choose for an electric kit over an acoustic kit?
But nevertheless, e-kit is one of the nice to have instrument. Tuloy tuloy lang learning ng walang naiistorbo.

Third, peds in the pic is an old model of Gibraltar 5611db or 6611db with Pearl Quadbeater beaters.
Di naman siguro masisira yan. I believe the manufacturer of e-kits anticipated the pounding it will bear. So, di naman siguro sila gagawa ng alanganin. But, of course, in the long run, it will experience wear and tear rin.

Enjoy your new gear.

Thanks! Yes. Absolute noob here. As in I never had a kit before. Reason being is Im really a guitarist.
I sometimes record my own stuff and covers. But some drums software are way too perfect, fake and un-humanized. Tapos mahirap mag isip ng pattern using computer software.
So I thought if I can do it using my own hands an feet.
I am also not gigging anymore so I am just a hobbyist. Naisip ko never too late to play drums. And I dont have exercise anymore haha.
And I think it would be a great achievement personally if I learn a new instrument.

My band and I are still in contact though. I told them I have this kit now and I plan to finish our album ourselves this time.

So marami raming reason para magkaroon ng e-drums hehe

I think e drums can still teach me how to learn the basics of drumming and exercise the pattern skill same as having an acoustic kit. The feel of the hit may be different. But I think I can still incorporate it when the time I hit the studio again. Pero by that time, baka gitarista na naman ako haha.

Ahohohoy! Guitarist entering the drumming world. Enjoy the ride! Masarap yan, garantisado. Ako naman, pa-exit na sa drums, going to the guitars naman. Due to medical reasons, hearing to be specific.

Anyway, baka magkasundo tayo dito. Haha! Exchanging of the learnings we've learned with regards to our role as musicians. Ako naman si Noob guitarist. As in olats. But patiently learning, willing to rose from this instrument. Kahit late bloomer.

At oo naman, never too late talaga to learn something new. Hanggang sa pagtanda na yan. Words to live by.

It's just that, the natural bounce, wrist and finger skills you need to apply may be a bit compromised as the batter head you're gonna hit is slightly different from the real one.

Haha nice! Good luck!
Based on what I know, mas magastos ang pagiging gitarista.

Yes. but on the other hand, isang cymbals minsan ka-presyo ng ilang stomp box or sometimes the price of the whole pedal board! Hahaha!

sir if using felt beaters sa mesh head gamitan nyo ng bass pad para di mag himulmol ung mesh. Same reason why nylon tips ginagamit sa other pads :) I use an evans EQ clear patch double on mine.

Good looking kit by the way, nagdadalawang isip pa ko if kukuha ako ng pro-x hat, di kasi maganda review lalo na integration sa VST.

I have roughly the same kit DM10X hehehe

AFAIK, medeli din ang gumagawa kay alesis so, mejo parehas lang siguro sila in terms of durability.

Sabagay parehas naman silang mesh. Sa module nalang siguro nagkatalo tong dalawa.

May Alesis Crimson na ba dito sa Pinas? Saw a lot of good reviews from it. Maganda pa daw sa DM10 na Mesh kit.

Hello. Aspiring drummer here.

Ask ko lang if ok yung mga Medeli or Yamaha DD-65 for home use, rehearsal, jam and occasional recordings?

Matibay naman ba? Ok din ba feel nung pedals niya? thanks!

pwede na for jam and small gigs. I wouldn't use it for recording dahil limited lang ang capabilities nito, lalo na sa pedals. the pedals are just unlatching pedals and not actual drum pedals so there is virtually no feel.

Well I'm not really looking for the "real drum kit feel" since I just want something to fool around with and practice my rhythm with. And I'm just a guitar player occasionally playing as a substitute drummer for another band for the meantime. :)

if its for a quick fix for drums (i.e. something to hit with actual drum sounds) this works wonders. I learned how to play on a Yamaha DD55. :)

To make it my slave pedal.
