Wiring P90s in series - has anyone done this?
« on: August 17, 2017, 01:14:51 PM »
Considering to do this on one of my guitars. Has anyone tried this out? How did you like the tones that came out of this set up?
I'd rather be sharp than flat.

RWRP pala sila?

I think so. At least the Tonerider HB-sized P90s are.

Have you tried it? What guitar did you try to implement this in? Really curious!

Love the P90s on my Gibson and my fave is the middle. Curious how the series wiring sounds like too but I'm guessing it would sound like a humbucker which you could essentially blend with the volume knobs.

Did it on a friend's generic LP that came with it. DIY'd the stock neck P90 pup to RWRP.

Thanks bro! The only thing I hate about P90's is that they sound so good that they make it hard to switch back to humbuckers after getting your ears accustomed their sound and volume pot roll-off characteristics.

Please do let us know how it goes. Pics of the mod would be awesome too!

Try it out! It's fun, a bit difficult... but the end result is hunky dory. Got this one from Harmony Central a few years back...
