Turntable scratching newbie help!
« on: August 07, 2010, 09:26:45 PM »
Walang pera for expensive scratching school.. Kaya self teaching na lang siguro.. I have a technics SL-QX300.. model pa toh.. Pero sabi daw pwede sa scratching.. Nabili q sya outside philmu...

Question is.. Sometimes when i try to scratch.. Parang medyo ga2law ang stylus so tendency nya naiiba ng part ng song.. Is this because mabigat ang kamay q? Pero feeling hindi naman.. Ano kelangan i-adjust? My slipmat is american audio with plastic sa ilalim..pero parang di parin sya masyado madulas..walang pera for higher model of turntable..

Help naman po.. And tips na din..

Maraming salamat po..sana mapansin nyo at matulungan nyo q.. :)

First, your turntable is not designed for scratching, it is a straight-armed T4P model and you did not mention what brand and model your stylus is. If you still want to try scratching on your turntable, add more plastic film under your slipmat to make it more slippery, your scratching style will be limited to a few simple scratch tones. in the end you really need to save, save and save in order to get a decent player.  :-)
