if it does work, does it mean we don't even need to get protools le if we want to work with HD for the final mix? maybe it'll work with tracks and stuff, but the plug-ins is a different matter. still it's an interesting approach.
it is an interesting concept and something that should have been done a long time ago. however, taking advantage of Pro-Convert levels the playing field for using the
session files between platforms so you can open up a Nuendo session file in Logic or Pro tools. understand that working with PT HD utilizes the Pro Tools software but requires and entirely different set of converters and DSP which are a bulk of what you are paying for when investing in any of the three PT HD suites. Mixing a final mix in PT HD and Le does not look very different but applying the effects with the benefit of a dedicated DSP and specialized converters are very different between systems using PT HD, PT Le and PT M-Powered.
