Mixing Analog pedals and the zoom g3x.

Nice pala tunog niya medyo maingay lang nga with the  hiss. Still trying to find a fix for the noise issue.

Hello mga sir, just bought a G3X last week sa JB. First impression, the drives are far better than the previous models I tested(gfx3, a1, 505II, 707 and). Ayofish is right, medyo close to analog pedals yung drive patch nya. May noticeable noise sa mga high gain patch pero mababasawan if you use ZNR, though may effect naman sa picking dynamics. Of course, panalo pa rin sa modulation. By the way, may recommended effects chain ba yung g3x? Yung sa internet ay nasa Slot 2 yung drive.

Initial setup
High Gain patch:
Slot 1 - Alien
Slot 2 - ZNR
Slot 3 - Delay
Slot 4 - Harmonizer(optional)

OD patch
Slot 1 - TS
Slot 2 - Chorus/Delay
Slot 3 - Delay(optional)

for me, it depends on how many effects you want to be able to switch on and off. sometimes one extra switch is very important. The G5 can switch 4 effects at a time, the G3 can do three.
I personally find three switches to be enough, even with the full 6 effects in the chain (the other three are always on anyway).
Oh and G5 can have up to 9 effects in the chain so that's a consideration too.

yeah, search mo na lang, alam ko meron gumagawa nun dito. 
pero bago yun, i-try mo muna gumawa ng patch tapos tingnan mo kung kakailanganin mo magswitch ng patches in the middle of a song.
Especially with G5, apat na switch yun plus isang boost switch at wah pedal switch, so six switches lahat yun.
I have a G3X and I set up patches like each is a pedalboard, and I set it up so I won't ever have to scroll  through the effects, and I only really need three switches to engage, and the rest are always on (usually amp sim, delays, verb). Sa G5 siguro mas masaya kasi may malilibre na bank dahil sa dedicated boost switch.

i find it amusing that plugging in my sennheisser px100 directly into a g3x sounded better than it is plugged on my cube haha

di naman ako after sa send/return. yung ease of use and sound ang mas importante.hehe.

I used to own both units. As to ease of use, from my experience, masmadali gamitin ang G5. As to sound they are par.
