Good day po mga brothers, just wanted to ask for an advice with the selection of guitars best suited for praise and worship. Planning to buy for one and I have a mid-range budget. I'm looking for one that hits the tone and has versatility as well. Thank you so much in advance. God Bless.

It still depends on your taste

and how you use it. How much pala exact budget?

Para sakin, I still do love the sound of Tele!! first love ko, versatile din sya..single coil. it can cover most of Christian music of today. Hillsong and Jesus Culture madalas namin tugtugin. Chris Tomlin and some of Tagalog songs. ok naman. Gusto ko single coils eh, lalo tunog ng Tele. Pero may ilan din naman na ayaw sa tele kasi manipis daw. Pero madameng Christian Artist na tele gamit.....Jeff Kunde of JC may Tele. Even Hillsong may nakaTele (I think si Jad and Nigel ata). Squire lang naman tele ko, kaya mura..haha. palitan lang yung pickups ok na sya. pero still planning to buy a Fender.. ok kasi talaga..

GAS.

Ngayon i'm using Epiphone ES335 DOT as my main guitar. Go-to guitar ko ngayon yun. hehe. Nagpapalit din ako sa Tele depende sa lineup. But most of the time 335 gamit ko, nakanta din kasi ako.hehe Humbucker 335, versatile din kasi ok sya sa clean, ok din sa drives. Mas gusto ko din sound nya for Hillsong, kasi mas full, haha. at HB kadalasan gamit ng hillsong, i dunno.

I recommend a Tele or 335. Les paul is quite heavy and i don't like it, pero yung iba gusto. magkakaiba din naman ng taste, so it still depends on you. hehe.

I see. i've been thinking din po sa Tele, as well as ES335 na din. 18-20k but not sure baka madagdagan pa if mabebless ng husto this end of the year, sa December pa naman. Right now I'm using a Korean LP Custom and planning to sell it for upgrade. I'm having an eye for a 2nd hand PRS since I've heard of its versatility din, or a guitar with P-90's di ko lang alam kung babagay. Anyway thanks for giving me an idea. It will help a lot sir. Ayos din pala guitar mo. Ok yung budget na yan, you can get MIM Tele. or MIM Thinline. HAHA dun ako GAS actually. hehehe.. Tele na SemiHollow pa. Never tried PRS, pero nakakita ako ng gumagamit nun, versatile nga.

Go for whats most comfortable to you. Not as a xtian but as a musician. The axe is your weapon not your tone. Your goal is to inspire worship not please listeners or the ministry.

In my case, i use a Les Paul unless its unavailable or feel the need to change. Then i whip out the strat. Im a classic rock guy kaya im more into using the lp. Blessed na din ako at mabait musical director ko. Hes more critical on how i play and the mood i create than what gear i use.

Epiphone, Hamer, Squier ang mga brands na pasok jan sa budget mo if pareho tayo ng iniisip na range roughly 15-25k!!

I use a 7 string sa church.

Best advice para sa yo bro, Play a guitar w/c satisfy your ears when it comes to tones and Sa playability ng Neck.

speaking of versatility sir, ok po ba ang fender telecustom ii para sa church? o may na-cocompromise na tone pag ginamit siya sa church-sound-setup..?

Never tried.

Pero may mga gitarista ngayon sa Hillsong na naka Fender Telecustom. Tingin ko ok naman sya, worth trying naman siguro..naka P90 pa yun. hehe
