I'm also getting hooked on the Recto (rectifier thingy) and the Hybrit amp sim. Huli yun tone-in-my-head eh.

Tama! Holiday at bakasyon kaya malamang tweaking with matching riffing na mauuwi sa bagong song idea to (hopefully).

Bossing...interested ako marinig ano mga bagong song ideas mo hehehehehe!  :-D

All my song ideas are in my sig down there. I started using the amp sim and cab impulse sa 19th song idea na. The previous ones were all mic'ed from my amp.

Constructive criticisms are all welcome.

Share yours as well.

Btw, do you guys know any VST that could help in shaping an acoustic guitar sound?

oo nga bro, alam mo, ikaw nakapagmulat sakin sa use of TS as booster <3 labyu poreber (yung KSE Demo mo ng COS at SH <3)

re: the VST for acoustic, usually I use a parametric EQ, tapos padaanin sa stereo expander pag intricate, graphic eq na, pero okay ang parametric so far. nahuhuli yung gusto kong sound (aka the JM acoustic sound) John Mayer or Jason Mraz :D

The interface I use is Presonus Audiobox USB. My DAW is Reaper.

For guitars, I usually mic my amp for cleans and low gain bluesy tones and use Amplitube 3 (free) for high gain stuff (since I don't have full stack marshalls).

For drums, I use Addictive Drums and occasionally combine some samples I recorded.

Ma-try nga yang stereo expander na yan haha. Ang ginagawa ko kasi minsan, double tracking ng acoustic tapos pan left and right :) Pano mic placement mo sa acoustic sir ralph? :)

yung talas at kalansing paps kaya sa parametric EQ yun. yun lang inaadjust ko. granted, i mic with a condenser. so huli niya talaga yung spectrum.

eto tip ko mga bros @boxedking, @JanMayer

mic placement plays a big part mga paps. pag gusto mo ng aggressive sound, i mic near sa bridge ng gitara. pag smooth, sa may neck.  pag strumming, around one feet away from the source, tapos angled towards the 12th fret.  i use a large dia condenser. pero when I record acoustic tracks, i have 2 tracks. isang miced via the condenser, tapos isang naka line in from the preamp of my guitar so miced and plugged. yung main sound coming from the mic, tapos pag gusto ko ng kalansing, i adjust from the Line In Track :D try niyo baka mag work sa inyo :D

I use a fake SM57. Sometimes I blend Samson C01 as an ambient mic.

I have a fake SM57 as well and that's one reason why I stopped mic'ing my amp. Ibang iba sa legit one. Wala nga lang ako magawa ngayon kapag acoustic guitar ang nire-record ko.

Pati pala mic meron ang Joyo? Nice!

I used to have a Behringer C1 condenser mic. It was good for what I intended to use it for (vocals and amp recording) until I sold it to get that fake SM57. I was young and stupid back then.

Nope walang mic ang joyo. What i mean is, mga copies ang pedal ng Joyo, pero close enough sa orig. i was expecting sa mga fake SM57 na maging close enough din sa real deal pero di pala

Sorry for missing your point. My bad.

Yeah, medyo malayo yun fake SM57 ko sa legit one. I dunno with the others though.

Guitar -> Pedal Board -> Alesis Multimix8 -> PC

DAW: Cubase and Sonar X2
VST: Guitar Rig 5
Impulse Loader:Ignite Amps' NadIR and LePou's Lecab 2

Recently bought an EVH 5150 III and a Carvin Legacy impulses from Rosen Digital, itching to try it out. GUSTO KO NANG UMUWI!!!!!

Been AMPLESS long ago, output wise you'll be getting that overly processed tone that is way too digital but not in a bad way; Its just that if you are accustomed to hearing tube breakups that blooms in front of you, you'll feel cheated with IR's. But to its own respect you can produce sparkly clean tones to headsmashing heavy tones with just digital processing,in this case the the ends justifies the means.

Like i said...magic talaga yung idea ng impulse eh hahahaha!

Did you consider trying Amplitube 3 in replace for Guitar Rig 5? I have used guitar rig 5 before and found Amplitube somewhat better. I have yet to try BIAS though.
