Bought my cans in SM Appliance Centre, SM Manila. They have blue and green. Sa SM Southmall naman, may lime green, blue, and white. Sa Electronics Boutique Park Square, may pink - pero yun nga, 200 pesos more expensive.

How about the Pioneer SE-MJ2? and Pioneer SE-E33?

Has anyone tried those?

Thanks. I'm looking into buying one of those kasi. But I want opinions about them.

I actually owned the Philips SHE 2550.

It's decent for a pair of earbuds. And yes, hindi sha "tinny" cause there's plenty of bass. Its orientation is somewhat unusual, so initially, it's uncomfy to wear.

But the Marshmallows (and any other in-ear canalphones somewhere in this price range) beat it out of the water. The only caveat is your ears have to conform, I guess. You absolutely need to get a good seal to fully enjoy these in-ears. Nakakapanibago rin 'to sa simula. :-D

Guys! there's a sale of Sennheiser headphones and earphones @ Trinoma. I just bought a PX40 there for half the price (yes, a little more than Php 600). They will have a sale until the 20th. It's worth checking out. The Store's name is, "PODS". I think the CX series Sennheiser earphones are also on sale.

Cheers!

That's what i also thought since the flyers said it was just until the 15th. I was still able to buy a headphone for 50% of the price on the 16th. It was a sweet deal :)

They're decent as is. It's just that the highs are too shrilly at times - which is what the Kramer mod addresses, supposedly.

You probably need a balanced, uncoloured closed headphone.

I wouldn't recommend the entry cans of Sennheisers cause, while they're really good, they colour the sound - make it more exciting -  which a monitor headphone should not do.

Lotsa folks by the Audiotechnica ATH-M20. This is available in JB Music for around 2000-3000 pesos. I've also had good results with Behringers. Yeah, it's a hit-or-miss brand, but even the cheapest 1000php HPM1000 does a passable job. InTune stores allow the testing of their cans. Check out the HPX4000, which is around 2000 pesos. Your ears will love you for it.

JVC Marshies (FX33)are 790php in SM Appliance Centres, and 990php in Electronics Boutiques (but only the branch in Park Square seems to have stock). EB carries pink though, which may or may not be a factor for you.

As for other cans... I'd go for the Creative EP-630. It's a bit more pricey at 1300php, but its SQ compares to the "bang-for-buck" Senns CX300, which costs at least twice as much.
