May naka-sale na Pearl Target Jr. sa JB 13.7K, yay or nay? Gusto ko kasi talaga mag downsize ng drums kasi gusto ko medyo lumuwag yung kwarto ko, tsaka natitripan ko yung medyo fusion sound ng maliit na drums. sulit na kaya yun?

ang real sacrifice lang naman sakin yung FT kasi ang swabe nung 16 ko but all the other drum sizes fit the bill for me. benta ko yung snare

1. Ano ang effect ng satin finish sa tone? May pinagkaiba ba sya sa clear/glossy finish ng uncoated heads?
2. Ano ang effect ng black film sa tone? May difference ba sya sa white film heads?

Reason for asking:
Kahit saan ako magpunta wala akong mahanap na stock ng 13" Evans Onyx (black satin finish). I'm willing to sub an Aquarian Response 2 (black texture coated). Mostly for the looks (non-glossy and black), but also because people say that it's a bit warmer. I dunno if that's true, but if it is so, then I assume white film heads sound a bit different. The satin finish however I'm not sure if it changes the sound, it's not like it's as thick or has a texture enough to change the overall sound, i think.

usually yung satin finish, ginagawa para magka texture yung head without the powder coating ala ambasaddors. no major difference in tone lalo na kung parehas lang ng kapal. usually mas manipis yung mga satin.

pag pang drum practice lang, pinstripes ako to control over tones. pag band setting and open spaces kasi, overtones are your friend, in closed spaces tho... ewwww...

Ok sana talaga yung Studio X (single ply with really thin damper ring) pero AMPANGIT. Yung Onyx tho, pag snare, I miss the solid thwack sa backbeat, pero gusto ko mas open ng konti this time around. not willing to try Emp X again baka magputukan ulit yung swivel nuts ko
