Good idea...but what about inviting the rest of musicians from northern luzon instead of baguio alone..hhmm.. :-) :wink:

Actually we're from Pangasinan pero may bahay kami sa San Luis, BC. sa SLU din ako nagcollege (ECE) and working now at Makati. miss ko na diyan baguio. hopefully makapunta ako ng Panagbenga. wohoo!!! share?nextime siguro. how about some pics from Trivium concert?hehe
@TS. kaw pala guitarist ng 2nd squad. nanood kami nung last muziklaban. nasa vip kami and of course we root for you and slaman during your performance. :-D tapos sabi nung barkada ko "Si stephen yan ah!si stephen yan!taga honeymoon yan, yan yung anak ng landlady ko. naalala mo ba sya!" or something like that. so my friend was screaming stephen's name out. tinulungan ko nga eh pero di yata kami marinig.hehe. sya nga ba yun?hahaha. great performance guys!

It's all good pre. Di ko lam kung kami ung tinutukoy mo. dalawa lang kami na magkasama pero hindi lang kami yung nagcheecheer sa inyo dun sa vip. :-)

pangarap ko yung rc2 matagal na...and it came true last christmas...sulit...ginagamit ko pag praktis at pag tinatamad nako magposte ng rhythm... :lol: pero diko pa naeexploit ng mabuti kasi busy pa sa pagiipon ng pangGAS in the future... :-D
dadagdag ako ng big muff...saka pinagpipilian ko yung dan o wah (wah/fuzz/octaver) or danelectro frenchtoast (fuzz/octaver)....or maybe a fender amp pag tinamad nako mageffects.... :roll:
pag pinakawalan ko na yung zoom, papalitan ko ng nova delay, vox wah, at phaser (not yet sure) baka try ko yung sayo...hehe...
mahaba pa ang taon at madami pang mangyayari sa buhay....sa ngayon stick muna ako jan...i'll focus on my playing first bago magGAS ulit... :-D

i'm from pangasinan but spent 5 years in Baguio during my college years(96-01, SLU Mech Eng'g). had a couple of small gigs back then(acquaintance parties, battle of the bands, shows, even once on Burgos Gym in SLU). i miss Baguio, haven't been back there since '01.

Scout Barrio ang dating tirahan ko diyan. Si Jay Valencia ang guitar teacher ko pa noon dahil kapitbahay. Ako pa ata first student n'ya noon. Lumipat ako ng US noong 1993.
Nakipagtugtugan din noon sa mga Rock Against Drugs noong early 90's. Ka-lineup din noon yung mga nasa Dizzy Spectrum, Juvenile Delinquency, Aran, etc etc.
Sarap uminom noon sa Camouflage Bar lalo tuwing biyernes dahil bigatin ang tugtugan ng Revelation.

Scout Barrio ang dating tirahan ko diyan. Si Jay Valencia ang guitar teacher ko pa noon dahil kapitbahay. Ako pa ata first student n'ya noon. Lumipat ako ng US noong 1993.
Nakipagtugtugan din noon sa mga Rock Against Drugs noong early 90's. Ka-lineup din noon yung mga nasa Dizzy Spectrum, Juvenile Delinquency, Aran, etc etc.
Sarap uminom noon sa Camouflage Bar lalo tuwing biyernes dahil bigatin ang tugtugan ng Revelation.
Pa-mail naman ng bagong lutong pinikpikan diyan! heheh...

The one set of times our band (Aftermath) gigged when RAD had these school tours. We did a show at BCU, then at the SLU open air basketball court/CMT marching grounds, and also at one of the schools in Loakan Rd.

anyway si miles din nandito...nakilala ko si jay mapalo nung graduation ng UP...registrar kasi sya dun, nakita nya ako nung rehearsals ng graduation usap kami konti about guitar stuff...great guy...pangbahay lang daw sya ngayon e... :-D

pasali.. :lol: pumunta ako dun..kinda expensive,,haha :lol:gumagawa din sila body and neck..yung neck walang truss rod pero merong metal na nakalagay para daw di na magbaluktot.. yung price nila pag nagpagawa ka body 7k to 7,500 daw..hehe pwede ka na bumili ng 2ndhand guitar.. :lol: kaya di na ko bumalik.. :lol:

hehe oo nga eh..minsan kasi tinatalo ng mga oldskul ang genre ang ibang mga ibang genre kahit mas malinis naman tumugtog yung ibang band..hehe o kaya minsan yung gusto lang ng audience ang nananalo with out knowing kung sino ba talaga dapat.. :lol:

guys nakita niyo na ba ung zak wylde at gibson sa musar? 13k? Dineretso ko agad ung guy kung imitation then sumagot agad Yes daw pero mahina ung pagkasabi niya kasi may ibang customers.... Musar is now selling fake guitars sana ung iba hindi....

1st scenario: nagtanong ako dun ng KLOTZ cable. sabi nung lalaki (not the long hair), " ano?ano yun!?" sabay naweirduhan sa sinabi ko.sabi ko "yung KLOTZ (I spelled it out) instrument cables." then he replied "di ko alam yun.wala kaming ganun (parang asar pa siya)." :lol:
2nd scenario: Then I asked "magkano yung TS9 niyo po.pwede patingin?" (trip lang.just to know how they price their pedal though alam ko ng high pricing dun). He gave me the pedal from the glass cabinet and woah! I saw the price, P9,995! So I said "sige po thanks. at least alam ko price".
Well I do not have the right to complain because it is a music store in a mall (mataas talaga pricing, mataas ang rental, and malayo din sa manila). Just sharing my experience with that store and that man. :-P

nakakaasar talaga minsan dito sa baguio ang pricing..kaya kahit malayo sa manila pa ko bumibili..kahit mamasahe pa ko pero malaki pa din bawas..enjoy pa ko sa trip ko..
at yung nagtatanong bout dun sa luthier sa shopperslane..mejo may kamahalan..and i'm not that happy sa gawa nila..that's just my opinion..kayo na lang bahala..try nyo na lang.. :-D

kagagaling ko lang dito last week.. stayed at my cousin's place.. sa palma street.. malapit kami sa 18BC bar and sa Lion Hostel.. haha.. panalo nga ang spot dyan kaso hindi sya ganun kasaya kasi rainy season pa e.. tamang lamig lang.. sleep trip.. inuman trip.. MJ trip (pampalipad! baguio gold brah!!! :lol:).. tapos nanood kami ng gig ng power puff corn.. anlupit!! tamang sabaww lang yung bokalista :-D.. si bryan ba yun.. kilala kasi sya ng pinsan ko.. syempre hindi mawawala ang double "O" (all the way.. :lol:) haha.. :-D had a great time.. nakakawala talaga ng stress!! OLANAPS!! :-D

oo naman!! actually nung highschool pa ko every summer nandyan kami ng mga pinsan ko.. chick hunting.. syempre pag bakasyon maraming chikas dyan.. kaso ngayon kasi busy na sa work kaya wala ng time.. :-D

ako lang guitars sa banda namen at hindi naman mga bata mga kasama ko hehe gig ulit this saturday. @samuelfianza, ikaw pala ung sa propagandia. hehe lupet! ikaw ung long hair or ung lead guitars?
ay oo na pala..pero nung sa sm kayo tumogtog mukang mga bata pa mga kasama nyo sir..hehe

hehe,im sorry to share this..but im from baguio too..and i get disappointed also once in a while..maybe because a new generation of musicians are the majority now...i can understand other places here in the country but...Baguio..?hehe...i guess times have changed..now a days, id see bands with equipment/gear/guitars/drums/etc that you can drool over but its in the wrong hands most of the time, im sorry for being offensive..but its only my honest opinion...hmm..im not one to boast on what i can play or anything...i really dont think im that good too...but gone are the days where id watch musicmen make their instruments cry on stage...hmm..
last concert i truly appreciated was around 6 years ago[in convention ctr] where the older guys staged a concert for a cause...but now...all i hear is ska, reggae, opm...im sorry..i just prefer what we had around a decade back then... :cry:

technicaly mgagaling nuon,now i can say mas innovative nmn..and thts evolution..
we cnt say steve vai and joe satriani is better than jimi hendrix or jimmy page..or vice versa..

Bro if you're looking for a cheap source of musical equipments, i suggest you visit pcpark in makati square cinema, they're selling "wagwag" intruments from japan on that shop, though you would usually compete with people doing buy and sell business online so better be there when new stocks arrive. date suggestion: between April 14-16 venue suggestion: any less formal jam bar in Baguio.....pwede siguro sa ayuyang kaso ang problema kasi baka maburyong naman yung mga papasok at manonood, so kung sa isang bar natin ihhold, dapat meron ding bands na kumpletong tutugtog at may flow...
sana may iba pang magsuggest...andami -dami nating nagppost dito wala naman nagpaparticipate sa totoong buhay... :lol:

sa sabado ko pa makakausap yung kasama ko na makikipagusap sa clockwork e...pati na yung gamits...mahirap kasi kung magrerent wala naman tayong budget...pwede ko na dalhin yung studio pro 112 ko...pwede narin siguro yung mejo maliliit na amps dun...kaylangan ko pa clarify details dun sa lugar if ever...will keep you posted.. :-D
