ah ok... gamit ko po na software acoustica mixcraft... lhat po ng instrument nka line in sa 24 channel mixer tas ung stereo output nka in nmn sa 6 channel powered mixer... tas ung line out nun nka line in sa pc... ung mga timpla sana gus2 ko mkuha para sa drums and other inst. ung sa drums dlawang sm58 lng gamit ko pra sa snare and floor tom... tas ordinary mics na sa lhat cymbals pti ibng hardware pero lht may mic... tas ang greatest prob ko ung bass guitar ang hina ng output pg nirecord na pero pg nlkasan sumasabog...i use marshall bass amp...ung b65 nka line in sya sa mixer

Why the line out from the powered mixer going to the soundcard? Why not use the mixcraft control room or main outs going to the soundcard instead?

ok naman ba ang input signals mo na papunta sa mixer? i SOLO mo para makita mo ang line level mo..then kung ok naman at sabog ang labas sa bass amp eh baka:
1. naka EQ yung bass amp - kung meron man ito at naka SMILEY face yung EQ, at baka hindi kaya ng speaker yung over EQ
2. me sira yung speaker ng bass amp.
3. me sira yung volume control ng bass amp sa pre kaya??
4. me sayad yung speaker ng bass amp
teka saan ba ang sabog ang tunog sa bass amp o sa speaker ng powered mixer?

may EQ po ung bass amp.. typical na timpla ung pa-V... kpag ngrecording na parang di mxado malinaw ung sound kaht lkasan sa bass amp.. buo nmn speakers sir... ung sa lyn in prob

try mo muna i FLAT yung sa EQ, then test mo yung signal sa line in kung hindi distorted..saka baka me mismatched..me +4 dB  ba na input na nilalagyan mo ng -10dB?

@kilowattz - forum netiquette frowns on text speak. besides, walang bayad ang extended text dito. aside from that, text speak only advertises to the world that we are poor spellers since this is an internet forum which can be read by anyone.

I suggest following Baldo's advice about EQ however it would be easier if you can detail what is connected to where and how. Baldo is right about making sure line levels are matched between equipment. You might be connecting a +4 output from your mixer while your soundcard only accepts -10 levels.

From the onset, I thought one of the problems might be impedance mismatch.  The usual cause of distortion, -10 and +4 matching problems.  Baldo beat me to typing it.
