Are any of you experiencing throne height compression problem as well? :|

Well I was at the brink of purchasing a new throne which was threaded for my purpose that it does not compress unlike the usual ones with just a simple tube and collar. Then I realized those things are not cheap and said to my self I don't want to spend that much money just for my compression problem. :?

So I thought of getting my throne customized and install a threaded tube. So I visited the local machine shop and whoa they estimated Php 1,000.00 just for the tube. :-o

So I came up with a simple solution which I wanted to share. Minimal cost out of my drum budget is just P20.00 :lol:

I bought a 32mm PVC tube available at any hardware store, had it cut to the length of space between my throne collar and seat clamp which I found best suited for my needs. Sanded it down and painted black.

Here are the pics:

Well it works just great and I have accomplished what I needed from the beginning. It's not much but I regard throne height to play a crucial role in playing efficiency. I am so happy with it I could not help but share. :-D

Bye bye compressing throne heights!!! :evil:

Hope this helps some. :wink:

sir, verify ko lang.. you used the tube para gawing spacer? at hindi siya actually yung magiging stem? bale isusuot niyo lang siya dun sa steel shaft preventing from sliding down due to mahinang pagkagat nung clamp?

correct me if im wrong mga ser.. TIA!   :-)

I am very happy that some found this tweak useful. :-D

@intake,
PVC is strong enough bro specially in this application where the stress is applied on the edge and not on the side of the tube thus resulting to great stress resistance. I am confident this wont break easily. :lol:

@legnacilyz,
yes sir, you slip the PVC on to the existing tube like a sleeve thus preventing the steel shaft from sliding down. :wink:
