Hey everyone..

I have a dillema here.. I'm trying to complete the "dirty" side of my rig right now.. my current set up is: guitar-sd1 (thanks jc)- md2 mega dist- ch1 chorus- amp..

I've been trying to find that overdrive sound that's pretty much pop rockish.. light overdrive.. but something i can crank up to bluesy overdrive..

i was thinking of selling my md2 (got a buyer already na nga eh  :) ).. and buying a bd2 blues driver (also found one na)..

you guys think i'd get that tone if i buy a bd2?.. and get rid of my md2?..

the end setup would probably be: guitar-bd2-sd1-ch1-delay-amp..

yeah i know the bd2 is best used as a booster.. and so is the sd1.. :) somewhat..  the md2 is just too heavy for my style.. pero hinayang rin coz kopyang kopya niya yung tunog ng most punk rock bands..

hmmm OD + DS-1? it worked for me before, maybe you'll like the tone too. use the OD as booster :)

get a jap DS-1 and put if before the SD-1.

people underestimate how good the DS-1 is as an OD.

pop rockish... light od... hhmm... yeah, go with BD2. If you have some extra dough check out the Fulltone Fulldrive 2.

get the bd2. ditch the md2.. sobrang bigat nyan for a pop-rock type of sound. use the bd2 for lighter overdrives and the sd1 for a more heavier sound. or you can use the bd2 to boost your signal. enjoy the pedal! :)

bro..i have been using bd2 for a while...i have replaced my dirt pedals ONLY with it...it seems to be versatile in the rock/classic rock type of music...you can crank it up which will give you nice smooth OD or add an equalizer...to have a wider range of sound...its great for bluesy/hard rock type of sound....enjoy the pedal... 8)  8)  8)

well mukhang talagang bebenta ko na yung md2.. yeah it's too heavy.

bd2 would probably be fine for me..  :) ayos naman..

though i might get a ds1 too, maybe next time..  :) wow magiging distortion carpet nanaman rig ko..  :)

try out a DS-1 (if you can, get the japan made - huge difference) and use it as an overdrive. you'd be surprised how good it is.

the bd2 cool na cool gusto ko ngagng bumili ng isa kasi miss ko na yung binenta kong keeley bd2 :roll: . Things i dont like bout the bd2 though is the its damn trebly even with the mod, on higher gain settings its almost a fuzz, you max the gain and it sounds like a metalzone.
The thing i love about it is its easy to find its sweet spots, couple it with an od3/sd1 and its a killer, it is smooth and notes die and fade away gracefully 8)

oo nga eh.. but it's still great..  :)  so if i use it along with the sd1.. which do i use as a booster?.. the sd or bd?..

use the bd cguro as booster :) linis nyan eh. at mas heavy ang tunog ng sd1 (daw).. pero para sa akin, tama nga yung bd2, pwde magtunog mt2.. hehe. grabe rin ang gain nyan, at panalo sa definition at body ng notes. hehe. try mo pareho ipang boost.. tignan mo mas ok.. depende rin yan sa timplada mo eh.

venus: hindi ko na muna papakawalan tong akin.. napamahal ako kagabi nung narinig ko yung bb king tone. hehehe. sarap pakinggan. ang lamig sa tenga. sabi ni tim aka deadlift sa yupangco forum, mas makapal pa yung tunog ng ds1 ko kesa sa bd2. ehehhee. bigla daw numipis yung bd2 nung friend nya nung hiniram nya yung ds1 ko. hehehe. tska nde ko rin kelangan ng md2 sa ngayon.. msyado rin mabigat yan para idagdag sa setup ko. as for now, i really need a good wah. :)
