A Basic Jazz Drum Kit
« on: June 06, 2007, 02:43:05 PM »
Ano ba maipapayo niyo? Thanks!  :-)

tama stagestar sa audiophile or just go with a fernando fusion kit same price range lang sila.

sa cymbals, kung entry level lang buy the stagg set from music source instead of getting zildjian zbt/planet z or sabian solar/B8

I saw a beebop kit sa JB..Gretsch ata or Ddrum..it looks suitable for your application..  And you choice of getting a basic cymbal set up would be perfect..A set of Sabian B8s could be a great starter (unless you one to get the cast models off course)..check the Pinoydrums adds I think there is a set available..

gretsch catalina club yun at 2x the price of a fernando hehehe IMO way overpriced. grab the catalina maple na lang kesa yun

a word of caution too, 18" bass drums dont sound good without a riser because the beater will hit too high on the head. if you lower the beater to hit the center, your playing will suffer.

best get at least a 20" bass drum, compromise yung fernando fusion

exact model na to yung B55P, baka yung lower model nila yung sinasabi nyo na 17k. sa 26k planet z3 pa lng kasama nito, 28k pag zbt3. yung ibang finish 26k with zbt3, di ko alam kung bat mas mura. astig yung lalagyan ng rack ng toms nito, adjustable! and according to sandy birch ang shells nyan and pag icompare mo yung lugs nyan sa gretsch, walang pagkakaiba. sizes ng shells nito 14x5.5 snare 10x8 and 12x9 rack toms, 14x11 hanging tom and an explosive 20x18 bass. this is the shiznit! mura pa

It's just a riser, regardless of genre.

For me, sounds are more important than looks.  8-)

Tama si drumster but I'm after more of a medium sized kit na hindi gaanong hassle sa loob ng bahay and some cymbals. Ang challenge sa palagay ko though I'm not a drummer is to coax as many textures and sounds as possible given just a basic drum kit.  :-)

wag mo na tangkain, nakagamit na ako bumili niyan yung pinsan ng friend ko, walang kwenta at yung mga hardware parang pag tadyakan mo lang yugn drumset eh kakalas na lahat hehehe, i'd rather use yung fernando drums na lumabas nung late 90's and yung MAYA drums than that olympic premiere

exactly, when you put a riser the sound change. you dont put it for looks. sbi nya jazz kit,so i assume he wants to play jazz in a bop kit.
