yah influences nila yung interpol at bloc party...kudos kay wendell, napaka FLUID ng drumming ng PUPIL ngayon,one of the best sa pinas..i believe sya din nag drums sa second album ng 6cyclemind which ang ganda ng drum parts sa album

Ely loves The Cure, The Beatles and I guess David Bowie

Yan loves everything with Billy Corgan in it: Smashing Pumpkins and Zwan

Dok is into Mew and other indie bands. He's from Teeth, Damn it!

Wendell... I don't know but his drumming is super kickass. He's a jazz drummer afterall...

i think of ely's current incarnation in pupil as his way to release his inner "david bowie/robert smith"

listen to matador and oh my god, i think he sounds like david bowie.

yes, pero mapapansin mo rin na lumalabas din sometimes yung ibang influences nila. they (eheads) said carbon stereoxide is influenced by the cure. andalusian dog (which i love) is very 70s rock.

Ngayon, Pupil is his canvas to release his inner rocker or yung other side ng creativity niya na di niya mailabas sa eheads.

I adored the man since 1996, I was very young then, I guess about 12 or 13. Nung nag-break up ang Eheads, sinundan ko talaga kung ano ang susunod niyang gagawin, then I became a fan of his band, The Mongols. Sayang talaga dahil astig si Jerome Velasco (Ex-Teeth, baby!) sa gitara. Imagine, One of the country's best songwriter teaming up with one of 90s rock's best guitarist. Oh well, siya naman nag-produce ng Wildlife so it's all win, haha! Honestly, I would love to see a Mongols reunion more than Eheads.

And yeah, Pupil's Matador got me listening to David Bowie ever since.

I now like Talon and Monobloc.

Talon because of Yan's tagalog singing voice. I find his singing same with his brother because of the "O" except, it's more pleasing to the ear and the song's catchy!

Monobloc because the lyrics relate to me a lot. And he sounds like he's singing an Eheads song. And Wendell's drumming in here sounds like Raimund's drumming. Maybe it's just me. Haha.

I was there in the launch, grabe ang saya. Un 'brigada' ang galing din nila appetizer. Galing ng Pupil. Im a bit surprised na nde ko naappreciate yun covers nila ng eheads, 'Pare ko', considering Im eheads fan. Well favored ko lang siguro un mga kanta nilang bago.
