Beautiful, that’s what Bela means. In San Juan, there are many bars and restaurants but there is only one Bela Bar. Located along P. Guevarra Street near the corner of Wilson, the place had been there for more than three years. The building owner is also the bar owner so for years they were not so keen on getting the much-needed publicity, gimmickry and popularity. They had a number of productions here and there, corporate parties and concerts, even popular groups like Up Dharma Down, Kjwan, Johnny Alegre’s Affinity, Bembol Rockers, Urbandub and many others had performed there. Redhorse Rakista held its event at the start of the year. But now, after much prodding from friends, Bela Bar will transform itself as the next bar to watch, the coolest place to hang out this summer and all season, offering more variety of music and lots of delectable food selection and booze to match.
