yup. better compared to sonar, sbr, mcs, planet z, or even zbt's IMO. pero if you're looking at getting affordable b20's you could opt for staggs.

- before we get OT, if you're interested with staggs if ever, we could resume our conversation sa stagg thread instead. thanks!

Given same specs, I'll take the average snare.

I've seen someone selling a sonor force 2007 2nd hand snare. Generally, I'm thinking if I should just buy 2nd hand snares and invest on high end evans or remo powerstroke heads as well as strainers.

Good idea ba yun? Ano suggestion niyo sir?

At P10,000?
Get a good second-hand all-maple snare drum.

Thanks for the advice! What brands of snare would you recommend? Taking into consideration the budget allotted for the accessories I also have to buy after.

I'll go with an average snare with high end heads and if may extra pa, high end snare wires na rin.

i can vouch for the PDP all maple snare Gep posted.
I have been using mine for 5-6 years.
just put good heads on it (the stock heads are durable though).
Just have a spare wood hoop kung madalas mo ipang-praktis or gig.

I've seen gretsch renowns sold for 10k sa classifieds. These examples may be on the cheap side price wise but are by no means inferior to snare drums that cost twice as much. You also might want to check out this vintage pearl snare: http://talk.philmusic.com/index.php?topic=272313.0

Not sure what it is really worth pero based sa description, 8 ply maple, die cast hoops, parallel strainer, mukang maganda yung snare

Double Pedal Connecting Rod/Shaft
« Reply #992 on: August 06, 2012, 01:25:23 PM »
Good day! :)

Universal fit ba yung connecting rods? Baka ma damage toh in the long run. Thanks po.

Anong tawag dun?
« Reply #994 on: August 18, 2012, 07:44:57 AM »

Pati yung pag nag switch ka from single stroke to doubles.. alam mo yung pinagkaiba.. Kahit subukan mo pang pagpantayin..

May, device ba..

last week mo pa iniisip yan ah? haha!

generally speaking, yan ang tinatawag na "feel" or "musical intuition". hindi yan inborn; as one skill's progresses, subliminally, one would know the difference no matter how minute it is.

May, device ba..

yes there is. it's called the "Beatnik Rhythmic Analyzer".

Quote

The Beatnik Rhythmic Analyzer helps increase accuracy and feel in ways never before possible. Each one of Beatnik's multiple analyzers evaluates a unique aspect of your timing and rhythmic skills. Multiple views of the timing data instantly reveal technical strengths and weaknesses to help you instantly analyze your technical precision and speed up your progress toward total rhythmic fluency and accuracy.

After you set the desired rhythm on the built-in metronome, simply start the playback and strike the touch-sensitive practice pad. Beatnik's large graphic display shows a visual representation of every stroke in real time and records every stroke in a viewable archive, with pinpoint accuracy to the nearest 512th note where your strokes occurred in relation to the actual beat.

For evaluating and improving your rhythm and timing performance, nothing compares to the Beatnik!

Multiple built-in accuracy analyzers each measure different aspects of your rhythmic and timing accuracy.

Multiple views of stroke timing data instantly reveal insight into your dynamics, rhythm, and timing control.

Records and displays stroke history for reviewing summaries of your stroke timing data.

Tracking analyzer helps you improve transitions between changing subdivisions while maintaining consistent rhythm and correct timing. You can switch freely between any subdivision and Beatnik tracks your playing, displaying the timing and score in realtime and recording everything for a summary review when you can examine the timing history of each subdivision.

A phrase analyzer helps you improve performance accuracy of complicated and extended rhythmic phrases. You can set a rhythmic phrase up to 8 beats in length, incorporating any combination of note and rests. Records every stroke so you can review the phrase performance history note by note.

The internal metronome is one of the world's most advanced metronomes ever. It can test you on any permutation for every note value from quarter to thirty-second notes. Note values include: quarter note; eighth note; eighth note triplets; sixteenth notes; 5 over 1; sixteenth note triplets; 7 over 1; thirty-second notes.

Select between four skill levels to allow a wider tolerance for timing accuracy and scoring as follows: expert: within one 512th note; high: within three 512th notes; medium: within five 512th notes; low: within seven 512th notes.

Tap tempo sets the tempo based on strokes, allowing you to manually start a practice session later.
Tap start uses count-off beats to set the tempo and automatically start a practice session on the fly.

but as always, there are negative reviews so always take the info you could google with a grain of salt:

Supposedly RA1200p is able to show the dynamics of your sticking (how hard you hit) by drawing the solid lines with different heights. However I found it is not very consistent. It's still useful to some degree though, as it did show my left hand tended to be weaker than my right hand. I also got false triggers once in a while. (In practice, it didn't happen often enough to affect my practice at all. But I think I mention it anyway.) Another thing that annoys me is I couldn't find a way to get it to remember the volume and the pad sensitivity I set. Maybe it is just me not knowing what I was doing. But I did read through the manual a couple of times...

exercise yan bro na pantayin ang singles from doubles.. pero singles could never be doubles and doubles could never be as loud as singles.. so OC ka lang.. joke.. it's more of a technical thing na ipantay mo lang stick height mo e pantay na tunog.. pero sometimes hindi yun totoo so listen tol... magpad ka pero pakinggan mo din sa snare kung pantay yung tunog and kung may critique ka to 2nd the motion ng strokes mo e the better.. hehe..  magbasa ka ng stick control na book.. kung gusto mo magpaka OC dyan tapos accents and rebounds  sunod mo,hehe.. even you are not a note reader kaya mo mabasa yun... it's basically sticking to the WTF degree..hehe.. goodluck
