Some shredders are just fast but they lack the skill to actually fit in a song context. Take Yngwie, no offense but his songs sound the same to me :)

sugizo from luna sea! seriously, listen to a typical solo by this guy... sooo simple. but when luna sea perform a few of their songs live, he just shreds the f*ck out of his guitar and it's insane. :shock:

For me its going to be Eduardo Ardanuy of Dr. Sin, I'm not sure though since I think they've open up for YJM. Tone, Sensibility, Dynamics, this guy is awesome :) And theres the french guy, Patrick Rondat (i think zasam has some albums of this guy), pretty old school from the record I have, but he's really good :D

yup.  magaling si Patrick Rondat. underrated nga.  tapos si Mario Parga and Anand Mahangoe din.  IMO si Andy Timmons tsaka Tony MacAlpine ang talagang underrated compared sa other guitarists like Satch and Vai considering na malawak ang styles nila in playing, especially si Macalpine na magaling pati sa keyboards.
