Is it possible to use a G1 and a G1.u at the same time? As in using patch cables?

Do not stick with one drive type!  I used to swear by the PV drive type, then I realized I'm better off using BG on some situations and MG on some.  Sometimes, it's best to sweep through all of them and see which one sounds closest to your tone when you're onstage.

Once you've chosen your drive type, resist the urge to put on too much gain.  This done, your best friend is the eq and contour modules.  Just remember 21-25 of your eq.  25 for flat, then use the 21-24 to adjust your mids.  Then use the contour for low and high adjustment (negative values for more bass, positive for more treble).

Ganun lang kadali buhay sa 505II / 606.  Add effects if you wish, but for basic tweaking, that's my tip for you.

Bro, FYI same lang ang resolution ng G1 and G2 at 96 kHz sampling and their both using the same ZFX-3 32Bit processor. When it comes to sound their identical. The only difference are the features. May mga features and tone na wala sa G1 pero sa G2 meron and meron din wala sa G2 meron sa G1. Try to check it out again.

Not to butt in here, but sampling is just a way of saying they have equally good processors.  It so happens that the features you talk about, give the g2 a definite advantage over the g1.  The g2 will give you more parameters to tweak with more knobs, and this potentially gives you a better sound.  This is because the better sound is the sound you hear in your head, and you have more controls to tweak to that tone.

The g1, however, would be better for people who enjoy its easy-to-use controls.  Minsan ayoko rin yung tweak nang tweak.  But potentially, the tones you get out of a g2 will be better than a g1.

Pero people, compare nyo rin yung online manuals ng zoom.  Case in point, walang intelligent pitch shifter yung g1, fixed intervals lang like 4ths or 5ths.  Because the g2 has more controls, you could have major or minor 3rds, major or minor 7ths, depending on the key you set it.

A g2 will kick a g1's butt everytime.

nagdaan na ako pareho sa g1x and g2.1u...
ang pinagkaiba nga,, mas matitimpla nga yung tone sa g2.1u... and other features..
nga lang may nawalang 2-3 drives/distortions.. yung "rt" and "dd"... na nasa g1x...
maganda pa naman tunog nun..

G1 has cab sim (3 types pa nga eh) pero... hate to admit it.. g1 sounds DIGITAL... at di ko alam kung bakit... "Bc" drive nga lang nagustuhan ko after 30 mins nafeel ko digital pa din... at yung noise gate is literally a noise gate... will kill sustain in an instant...

nagbalik loob ako sa zoom g2.. as far as my ear hears.... it really does color your tone... nagiiba tunog ng gitara.. (unlike on my gt3 may ibang character talaga yung bawat gitara )

kung masipag ka kahit anong drive pwede mong gawan ng ibang tunog, sa g2 ko i have 3 different drives that i'm using, extreme distortion w/c i tweak it for metal music ko, peavey drive pa rock tugtugan, and acoustic simulator for clean tones. additional na lang yung phaser etc.

Bro, dont worry its ok. Medyo mali lang ang pagkaintindi ko sa post u. I thought your were talking about the sampling resolution. I know G2 has more tweak options than G1. Maganda ang G2 especially G2.1u.

stomping? alam ko hindi pwede. bilang-bilang method ang ginagwa ng g1x ko. bale may numbers tapos pili ka na lang kung gano kadalas. i-se-set mo pa. medyo mahirap nga lalo kung magkakakaiba ang tyempo ng kanta.

yup. plus the knobs are a bit delicate. hindi ko na kinulit ng kinukulit parang harabas baka masira agad.  mas matibay g2

+1 go for a g2. you can never go wrong with that
