Chris Cornell of Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog and Audioslave has a unique voice. He's one of the very few Rock singers that you can really compare with Robert Plant! Cornell's chops are really raw and well balanced. His voice is like santana's signature tone. You can hear it once and never mistake it for anyone else's voice.
The question is....do you guys think it would be a good idea for a ex-grunge metal vocalist to sing the blues?
He's good right? i think he is...i need input from you guys... :-D

actually.. LAYNE STALEY of alice in chains/mad season, sang the blues. look for the song ARTIFICIAL RED.. first blues i was able to play on guitar haha.. grunge boy kse

yea! ave maria was incredible...he's got the chops. pero, ung euphoria talaga ang maganda. i have to give him credit for the classic yell he can always execute

i agree! he's one hell of a vocalist. plus, he's an excellent songwriter. yeah! his version of "ave maria" is amazing. and i also love his "euphoria morning" album. one of my favorite albums. ganda talaga!

chris cornell is definitely a shoo-in to sing the blues...his vocal depth is almost comparable to robert plant's...until now, "hunger strike" gives me the shivers... 8-)

I'd rather hear him scream like a bitch like what he does in Soundgarden. The blues won't work with his voice.

yeah...his contribution to soundgardens sound  gives them an advantage to other rock groups...pro IF he was to sing the blues...
