dude use ur ears...i had 24 sessions dati sa yamaha for electric guitar. pero di ko din nagamit. sayang lang sa oras. kahet anong galing ng instructor, your ears will teach you everything. i learned to play the blues with decent phrasing and emotion by just listening to blues artists and guitar players. kung alam mo gamitin  ang pentatonic blues scale, you're set to go. kapa kapa na lang.

ahhh theoretical. you can pretty much find everything you need to know dito sa google at sa youtube. dami mga instructional dun na libre lang. sa expert village plang dame kana matutuhan.

dyan kasi ako nagstart. sa net. i learnt every thing, every lick(kinakapa ko galing sa mga kanta na nadownload sa limewire)every chord, every theory, and every scale sa net. konting tyaga at konting will power(i strived and i didn't give up until nakuha ko ung lick, ung riff or ung feel na hinahanap ko) along with alot of discipline and elbow grease.

may natutuhan din ako sa yamaha pero more on fingerwork din.

i think you really want someone to teach you structured and goal driven lessons. sige sir good luck to you nalang. hope you find what you're looking for!

i'm not putting you down,but usually yung may"gusto"or willing sa budget mo,usually yun yung olats.

blues at jazz,i would highly recommend aya yuson.i'm not acquainted with him,but a lot of my friends(guitar players) improved SIGNIFICANTLY,under his tutelage.

recently,i've been havin'lessons with prof cadiz(U.P.) P500/hr .but i get my money's worth!sulit talaga.that is,kung nakapag-theory ka na.mauubos lang oras nyo(if ever magformal lesson ka) sa kaka-discuss ng rudiments/theory.kung gusto mo efficient at ma-maximize lesson mo,get the basics nailed 

if you're on a budget,just go out,observe,& tag along.but most often,pag may kinukulet kang magaling na musikero,mapi-pissoff rin sa'yo.

perplexing at nakaka-overtax ng pasencya ang mag-surf,manuod ng vids sa youtube na di mo naman maintindihan pinag-gagagawa nila

acquiring good skills,from an excellent teacher is an INVESTMENT

as for me, experience is a very big factor. for example, napakagaling mo nga, pero sa bahay ka lang.. once you get on stage, bigla kang papalya for sure kasi iba ang pakiramdam ng nasa stage sa nasa kwarto lang. And you have to make connections with the audience pa
