Please suggest a cheap but good quality flash
« on: January 13, 2011, 03:11:54 PM »
What should I consider in buying external falsh?
I'm using Nikon D5000
For indoor activities na medyo low ang light and galawan ng galawan ang mga tao
Also, yung pwedeng remotely triggered kasabay ng shutter
And lastly, yung affordable, kahit mga china or third party brands...Medyo di kaya yung SB series ng Nikon e.

TIA

You can opt for either a Nissin Di622 (5 - 5.5k used), Nissin Di866 (around 8 - 9k used)  or a Nikon SB-600 (around 9.5 - 10.5k used)

although may limitation yung system mo when it comes to off cam triggering, you can't trigger them remotely without using 3rd party wireless trigger

Di622 na sir, medyo di naman ganun kalayo ng price sa yungnuo,

yungnuo user nga pala ko, although yung 460 II,
nahihinaan ako sa yungnuo kumpara sa di622 (yung sa utol ko hehe)

yn 560 is pretty powerful. pero quality control issues and full manual siya.

make sure that you inspect/test the unit throughly, yongnuo has a history of bad quality control.
for ttl exposure consistency i suggest the nissin di622.

agree on this, heard a couple of guys having problems with their yongnuo after 2 events lang.

I really stress on getting a good quality speedlight that you can use in CLS when you upgrade eventually.
Camera bodies come and go pero ang lenses and accessories kahit magpalit ka ng body magagamit mo pa rin

so my vote still goes with Di866 and SB-600. If your budget is kinda bitin, tiis ka na lang muna ng konti, ipon mode para makuha mo yung mas ok na model. mas mapapa mahal ka pa kung kuha ka ng "cheap" flashgun ngayon, tapos benta ka rin eventually kasi hindi pwede off cam.
