How do you guys get your Big Muff rigs to cut live?

Sent from my SM-N910C using Tapatalk

Stacking it with an od is the most common way of bumping up the mids to cut, having an amp with pronounced mids like Marhall and Orange is another way, Eq as well.  Ano ba ang tugtugan?

^yep, same thing what I do.

but for oozing solos or licks, you need to rearrange the pedals. it maybe like this:

guitar>fuzz>od>eq>preamp(if applicable)
guitar>od>fuzz>eq(if you still prefer the fuzziness of the fuzz you have but cutting through the mix)
guitar>od>fuzz (if adding gain for a rhythm section)

P.S: try listening Kevin Shields (My Bloody Valentine) guitar riffs or whatever he have on youtube. the guy is a master of fuzz IMO.

Those fuzzes are the pickiest I've ever tried when it comes to amp selection.

Anyone who has tried the Green Muff reissue? Been thinking of getting that.

Curious as well if EHX ends up releasing reissues of other versions since they already released an OpAmp Muff RI.

Tried a vintage Maestro fuzz and it only sounded good to my ears on on semi cranked Marshall style amps.

So I've been listening to the Band of Gypsys performances again and I have found a renewed interest in Hendrix's tones on that live record. I know there's a Dunlop Band of Gypsys fuzz out there but any suggestions how to get close to that Hendrix tone in that LP?

Too late to the party. I finally acquired the taste for fuzz tones (hated it from the beginning). Not I'm saving up for my first one. I planning to go for the Little Big Muff since It resembles the looks of the original.
