So, is there any truth to the rumor that Cowboy is Clapton's son? ...

I've seen Cowboy nail the gtr solo to Crossroads note for note... baka nga nasa genes na niya yung solo na yun? :-)

Here's a vintage Tower of Power (from Oakland, CA) in top form playing "What is Hip" in 1973 at the TV show Soul Train.  Listen in on the infectious but understated basslines of Rocco Prestia:

Love all those bands, especially Chicago and Average White Band.  But Tower of Power and Blood Sweat and Tears were good too.

I'd probably go:
Kooper on Keys
Prestia on Bass
Seraphine on Drums
Terry Kath on Guitar
Horn Section too hard to choose.

Vocalist too hard, but Hamish Stuart of AWB would be my # 1 choice. David Clayton Thomas would be # 2 and Cetera would be # 3.

My preferable songwriter would be Robert Lamm.

And AWB only had a few big hits (Pick Up the Pieces, Cut the Cake), but my favorite song is Queen of My Soul.

Terry Kath is a great singer also aside from being a great guitarist.

take note that he sang on Make me smile, Wishing you where here, Color my  world. Peter Cetera had a higher vocal range. but Terry Kath's voice had a
certain character...

Al Kooper was only on the first album of BST.

matinidi din yung original keyboardist ng TOP, who is now with Santana.

Prestia is really good. In a class by himself
