^get a lens that has a large aperture. DSLRs have 50 or 85mm prime lenses that have f1.8 or even f1.4 maximum lens opening. the more light your lens can accomodate, the faster it's gonna shoot. the faster, the lesser blur.

or, use a flash.

+1. it's all about the shutter speed. if you want to freeze the motion you need faster shutter speed. usually in gigs, you'll need a flash or as mentioned by kawal an aperture of 1.8 (at least) since most gigs are VERY low light. oh and high ISO is needed.

for gigs, i'm usually shooting at f1.8, iso 1600. shutter speed varies but i try to get as fast as i can to freeze the motion (unless i do want it to blur).

^hahahahaha... unfortunately, si chito lang yung may spotlight nung event na yan, and wala akong dalang flash. olats nga yung dating eh. dapat tinawag nalang nilang "The Chito Miranda Band" imbes na Parokya ni Edgar.

nyahahaha... yaan mo dindin, sa susunod magpapalagay rin tayo ng spotlight sa drummer! tsaka naaalala ko tong gig na to, mataas yung stage tapos anlalaki nung bouncers, parang mangangain ng tao. wala tuloy eye-level sa band.

sa concert ni joe satriani dito sana mas ok na pictures ko with my d80
