no cost floor tom to bass conversion

bigla ko lang naisip kahapon to habang naglalakad pauwi. tinatamad kasi ako dalin yung acrylic kit ko

binaligtad ko yung cam at beater holder nung slave pedal ko tapos nilipat ko yung spring assembly (napakadali nitong gawin sa dw5000, sorry elim and IC users  :-D )



tapos nag cut ako ng shape ng base plate ng pedal sa isang 2ft long na plywood. may 2 butas din yung plywood sa magkabilang dulo



ipasok ang pedal sa slot



ipasok ang paa ng floor tom sa magkabilang butas



instant floor tom to bass conversion at may floor tom ka pa hehehe

5 mins to convert the pedal
10 minutes to setup my drill, setup my jigsaw, make measurements and do the cutting/drilling

I tried that with a Maya pedal dati... problema lang is that the pedalboard tends to be angled too steep because the chain can only reach so far down after the cam reversal. If you can get a longer chain (or belt), mga 1 or 2 inches longer, mas ayus.

but the dw's footboard angle is adjustable  :-D and it still plays and feels like my ordinary setting

ganyan dati set-up ko...cocktail kit inspired, hindi lang ako comfortable saka tinuruan ako ni JP mag double pedal kaya bumile ako ng JG-16. sorry di masyado kita ung pedal eh, pero reversed action sya tapos inattached ko sa flat bar...[/img]

nice! sana may close up pic kung pano mo naka attach yung pedal

may cheaper option na rin ako sa jg16 kaya lang riser talaga, hindi kasing portable ng jg16.  post ko pic agad pag nakuha ko na

sorry jp bati tayo ha  :-D labs pa rin naman kita

i got a half inch flat bar tapos drilled holes para sa tom legs...ayun na...



bumili lang ako ng cheap na pedal kasi i'm not sure kung pwede sa lahat ng pedals ang reverse action



sana sir peeves pa fabricate ka din ng iss mount, wala pa kasi ako non eh para sa JG-16 ko hehehe
