You wanna remove the sanding sealer? Dry sand mo with 60-grit. Saglit lang yan.

In my experience, hindi saglit yan. Hahaha! Some guitars have 1-1.5mm thick sealers! X-(

Quote

Guys, question. Do you know any DIY sanding block na curved? Baka magmukang RG yung body if I used a flat sanding block.

Uh.. gonna use it for wet sanding. Kaya I'm asking for a DIY curved sanding block/alternative.

Are you talking about sanding the sides sa contour and cutaway area? Medyo na-lost ako sa original question.

Normally I use a bottle or a spray can, if that's what you mean.

Depende siguro sa huling nag apply.

Yes. Basta yung mga contours.

Thanks, I guess kailangan ko rin matutunan ito sooner or later (even though I don't know anything about electronics).

Anyway, I've already downloaded Electric Guitar Amp Handbook by John Darr *hingang malalim*.

Anyone who wants a copy of the PDF version, just let me know. :)

So I tried putting a 12ax7 to my Phase Inverter slot to get more gain / earlier breakup (one of the more popular mods on fender amps). The sound came out horrible when I cranked the amp above 7, it was harsh and shrilly. So i put back the stock 12at7 and the amp pretty much went back to its stock sound.

Now, when I pulled out the 12ax7, it had a small burnt spot but i can't remember if it had this before i put it there or if i inflicted this..Can anybody tell me if i busted this tube? Or it was busted to begin with? Or is this a normal thing?

SPDT for most amp channel selectors. What amp?

Stagg 60 sir chino.. :)

I see.. Yup, SPDT.. You can wire it with a LED indicator (w/ 9V battery clip inside or DC jack if the amp cannot provide enough voltage to power the LED)..  :-)

by default these 2 tubes are interchangable. the burn marks might be a big contributor to the "harsh and shrill" sound you got so with that being said you might have gotten a bad tube to begin with.. although im also not disregarding other factors that could cause such burn marks since i do not know the exact type of amp your using...

You don't have to know everything, if you know where to find it.

Ah dito pala. Nai-post ko sa DIY circuits kemerlu.

Pickup build. I think

I used 40 AWG magnetic wire, so the DC is just at 2.59 ohms. Used some Neodymium magnets to charge the poles. Winding the neck pickup as we speak. :)

I didn't count how many winds I made because the goal was to learn how to properly assemble a pickup.

Now if only I had a tele...

I tried to follow the 50s style wiring.

here's the pic.

Any plastic material or foam, and make sure it you cover the entire pcb layout.

Ask lang mga sir.. may gumawa na ba dito ng transparent na pedal board / flight case using poly carbonate, pvc sheet, and equivalent?

Id prefer D.I.Y. flight case para lang mag kasya ang 15 pedals and wah...
Im thinking na transparent na rin  ^-^

I've just recently bought a Washburn Mercury Series na guitar... for a low price kasi sira na ung wirings nya :-D . But all the Pick-Ups are stock Washburns... H-S-S configuration. 5-way switch.

I have zero experience in building stuff like those, pero mas okay kaya yung pag aralan ko na lang kung pano?
