Storage and Cleaning...
Too much of anything yields disdain.

oy, since you're travelling now, suggestion ko just keep it in a bag. all the time i guess. that's what i did when i went to malaysia. and try to keep it from extreme changes in temp parang guitar or bass. :)

cleaning, usually micro fiber cloth lang gamit ko. pero pag serious cleaning na, best and safest option siguro is to send it in for cleaning talaga
way too much GAS, way too little cash

bag na may silica gel. kahit sa loob ng lens pouch may silica gel. just to be sure. tapos heavily padded parang natutulog sila dun. hehe.

traveling, i place my gear on a small padded bag. hindi siyam ade for cameras eh. hehe. tapos ilalagay ko sa backpack ko. para hindi halatang may dalang camera dahil madalas ay commute lang ako. pero pag papalarin ngayong kapaskuhan, kukuha na talaga ako ng camera bag. may nakita na ko. yung funding na lang problema. :-D

dry boxes are good for long term storage. lalo na sa dami ng gears ni sir schnitzerz4. hehe.

cleaning, micro fiber cloth and sometimes air blower. i've yet to get my hand on sensor cleaning materials.

get a hygrometer...your lens might dry up if you have too much silica gels...they need lubrication
