JPEG is already compressed so changing to other formats is the only solution. I don't know kung may mass convert plug-in ang Photoshop (wala kasi akong pambili kaya di ko ginagamit). Anyway, a quick search led me to IrfanView:

Since most probably you are running Windows, yan ang maipapayo ko. Pero for Linux users, you can try this (make sure you have imagemagick installed):

just for the sake of posting hundreds of pix.... altough there is loss of quality. Check out image resizer by microsft or other clone programs. just go to the folder of the photos. select the photos (you can select hundreds of photos).... then right click then select "resize images" a window will apear just select the "usual" size...lets say 800x600 then click on ok. just wait for a few seconds then either it will duplicate the images with additional text to the file name or you may also resize the originals.

Or simply record (and save) an Action in Photoshop, with Adjust Size, Save, and Close. all you have to do now is open the file and hit the action button.

Microsoft Picture Manager lang, meron nito sa Microsoft Office, select all-compress-save...ok na...

Ano ginagamit nyong software kapag nag co'compress kayo ng pictures from Digicams/DSLR?
pagmarami na kasi tapos halos 2mb na ang 1 photo masyado nang mabigat sa PC. kaya ang ginagawa ko mano-mano sa Photoshop.
Open ko lahat ng pictures dun tas save as lang, pero bibababa ko na yung size. hindi din naaapektuhan ang PHOTO QUALITY.

Ano mapapayo nyo na madaling gamitin at may quality? at san ako makakakuha ng ganun??

Brad, naka install na sa PC mo, Accessories= PAINT. diyan ako nag eedit ng size ng pictures from CAM para maging JPEG etc.

Ang maipapayo ko sayo is Archive mo na yung mga old Photos mo Compress using WinRAR. kung me external drive ka then doon mo ilagay alisin mo sa HD mo sa PC or kung wala naman burn mo sa DVD wag mo compress un Photo File kasi papangit quality nyan

kung ang picture ay galing sa DSLR, and you want to post it on facebook or sent it thru email pwede ito, for viewing purpose and it will not affect the quality and you can still post it. But after the edit you cannot use the edited file again to edit ha kasi masisira na ang picture quality.


Open adobe CS3 or CS4

drag your image inside, once its open..

click image> image size.. then may dimension lalabas high and width equivalent to pixels on the right side, just adjust the top part to 1000 <--- tapos ung baba automatic na mag aadjust ng kusa sa equivalent value, then ok and save as!

at magiging 100kb and 5 - 10mb mong picture.
post it on facebook etc. enjoy!

But the real purpose is to save "space" in my PC.

Ginagawa ko yung mga suggestions na andito.

masyado kasing marami kung iisa-isahin ko ang resizing eh. ang gusto ko sana yung by batch.

Mismo sir jeff! ganun na nga yung ginawa ko ngayon.

pero yung mga Old pics gusto ko pa rin maliitan para maka tipid ng space kahit nasa PC lang.
