Am I the only one who hates this guy? Yeah sure, he can sing, but nothing special. He can play guitar, but Minyong can kick his butt.
Siguro asar lang ako dahil crush siya ni misis.

The guy obviously took a crash course in singing & playing guitar. 90% of these "pretty boy" types are either dumb as a rock or have no talent at all whatsoever or both & rely only on their looks to make it big. Sad but true.

Well he is one lucky dude blessed with the looks and the gift of gab, I lot like him in this industry. I kinda like him more than Zanjo...that guy cant act to save his life but what can you do, he looks good onscreen and marketable.

i don't really hate him neither do i like him. but you have to admit he's a lot better than the other showbiz guys. at least he knows how to sing and play the guitar compared to other actors who look dumb when they lip-sync.

He's good enough. I'd rather watch him than see Gabby Eigenmann (sheesh) trying to 'rock' with guest bands.
Sam Milby isn't the best, & he tries to hard. Hey, and his Takamine looks nice. :lol:

TUMILI GF KO NUNG NAKITA NYA SI SAM MILBY SA MEDIARTRIX sa ust. hehe. i really got irritated. kaso naisip ko. kung ganun ako kagwapo, malamang hindi ganito ugali ko ngayon. malamang corny ako magjoke at mayabang.. at.. maraming babaeng nasa paligid (teka, positive to diba? hehe.. joke lang baka mabasa ni meg.. )
pero hindi ako galit sa kanya. aus lng. gusto ko 2loy maging kasing lupet ni steve vai. o kaya. kahit malupet lang sa gitara. para kahit naka maskara. may tumili din sakin.. pwera na lang kung may ipis sa balikat nya at un ung dahilan kung bakit sya tumili. :)

By the way if u didn't know Bruce willis had a band before,Jtravolta can sing 2 and so r the r some of the chinese action stars we watch.i think its a pre-requisite to make it big :D

Heard his song this morning. Something about being complete or something like that.
It sucked eggs big time. I thought it was an entry to an amateur singing contest. While I was listening, I said to myself, who is this guys and what the heck is he singing? When it was announced in the end, that it was Sam, I cringed. He should go back and eat more burgers.

Well we cant blame him for being famous, kahit pa sabihin natin di naman talaga sya magaling. tao rin ang nagpapasikat sa kanya. so all he has to do is enjoy the MONEY and the BABES. :) sa tingin ko kasi kung nasa kalagayan nya ako, wla din ako magagawa kundi magenjoy nalang hahaha.. but then again, not!

It's different in Hollywood: Actors there ply their craft and both them and their talent managers spend MILLIONS on developing it. Like when Robert De Niro acted in the Deer Hunter, he even grew a beard and moustache and lived with woodsmen for days just to get the best feel on their character. But ofcourse, there are people like Brad Pitt who got discovered because of his looks. However, they mostly spend alot on their craft.
Here? I dunno, very few of the poplular singer-actors/actresses ply their craft. Their practically disposable AND recyclable. (I see some "laos" actors and actresses getting roles in telefantasias especially at Siete. Yeah, their helping 'em get back on the ground but they were really good to look way back when...). My 5 centavos.

yea i agree pero not only here. yung mga kaibigan ko sa states ganun din daw sabi nila, looks and marketing lang din, dati kasi sabi ko bakit kaya parang mas madali sumikat sa states kesa dito sa pinas. tapos sabi nila hindi rin daw, sobrang dami din daw dun lalo na indie bands na sobrang lupet at ga-utot lang yung mga nakikita natin sa tv na bands. ganyan naman lagi e. kahit sa school lang e makakakita ka na ng ganyan, yung president ng ganitong club di naman talaga magaling, sikat lang kaya naging presidente. :-D

it doesnt take a genius to hear that he cant sing. he can hold a tune but anyone can sing like that, Karaoke style.
and you people who know a little more than the D-A-G-A line of chords would know he plays basic guitar.
he hasnt come up with a good song so he hasnt proven himself as an artist.
dont hate him because he is famous. hindi ka naman kailangang magaling para sumikat eh. eh kung gs2 lang nya eh sumikat, wla na shang pakielam kung magaling sha o hindi. on the other hand, if you want to excel in your art, then try doing your thing and keep practicing as oppose to finding fault to those who seem to have made it up there.

I dunno but I think we have to admit that they were still able to come up with something original (and I intend to use the term liberally). Sa tenga ko so far wala pa silang katulad na gumawa ng kanta. Puwera siguro sa Father and Sons pero orig pa rin nevertheless at hindi katulad ng ibang naririnig ko...
