I wonder what will become of these tidbits...

Roasted / Tempered wood galore

Roasted Rock Maple

Roasted Pine

Where did you get the roasted Maple? How thick? Pang Neck?

Bought the body and neck from here:

http://www.lmii.com/products/shopbrowse?category_id=1467

Based on our measurements, the plank has enough to make one neck with a separate fretboard. Enough to make a. extra fretboard.

Here are better pics from the 1st "planning conference"

The grains of the body kinda skewed my plans for a solid color. There's an almost spalted quality to it.

Yup, shipped here. The shipping & stuff cost nearly as much as the wood! But well worth it IMHO.

Figure in how much a complete body & neck from musikraft, usacg, or warmoth would cost, or how much a boutique build with roasted wood is.

Thanks for the info and apologies for my stupid grammar! I didn't realize it until I read your post!

Yup, I agree. That and the fact that those would not get that personalized touch of Mike S.  :-D

I've surrendered my Grammar Police badge a looong time ago. So don't worry about it. :)

I had to intelligently plan out how to go about the build considering parts and specs. And I have great faith in Mike's Team as his teles are pretty killer.

I like the fact that I can be "present" to supervise the finer details of the build should i need to be, particularly as i feel that the neck is the most personal aspect of the guitar.

This will be my 2nd custom, as my first was the elegee i had made back in 2009 (now long gone but happily in the hands of one of Mike's customers!)

Thanks, actually it's just 2pc pine wood,
nothing special except for the small "puyo" (don't know what it's called :) ).

Nagduda pa ako kung pine nga o ash LOL

That puyo is called a knot in english. Buko sa tagalog. Maragsa yung last syllable.

Update on my Tele Project (2-3-2015):

Body has been sanded and sealed. Primer coat also applied. Putty ("masilya") was also applied to hide imperfections in the wood. Ready for color coats and clear coats!

Hey sir!

I had an awesome Pro Session guitar a few years ago.

What wood are you using for the body?

IDOL!!!

I'm not exactly sure but I believe it's alder (or maybe basswood). The body is one of those deals that you could buy from Guitar Salon. It had wrong measurements, wrong routs and routed to accommodate a humbucker bridge and a Wilkinson trem system. The plugging of the old routs were done with pine.

Thanks man! I'm sure that the magic that Mike's team weaves will turn that into a killer axe. Looking forward to seeing the finished product.

I haven't gotten enough sleep lately because i always stay up late thanks to this baby :-D
It's a washburn N4 with a Custom neck by team micsis!

I've always loved the N4 but the necks are too thin for my taste. So i had mike Build me a Fat Soft V neck. Stainless Steel Jumbo Frets on a kamagong Fretboard

Side shot of how Fat the neck is

Thumbwheel Truss Rod Adjustment

Badge of honor

Maraming Salamat Mike!!! This project couldn't have been more enjoyable!!!
