Yeah oo nga. We made our opinions according to our playing styles and our tastes in design and even in music.

I respect everyone in the whole world and every living thing.

This guitar is ugly and does not have a round neck sound and a chimey middle position sound.

Looks "pa-deep" ... "trying hard to be deep".....OOOOhhhhh a griffin....OOOhhh so dark....so mysterious....

Anong "Pythagoras" ?! That's a griffon! Griffin! That's not a mathematician! (Or does the threadstarter believe that Pythagoras actually came across a mythical creature?)

Or am I being an ignoramus for not knowing how a griffon/griffin is connected to Pythagoras?

it reminds me of the stainless steel relief on my art class when i was in grade school. Yung mag pupukpok ng pako sa stainless sheet para maka gawa ng design. Tapos ididikit mo sa palo china.

if youre gonna name a guitar, make it relevant. it would have looked better with either binding, bevels or at least make the carving stand out.

if the guitar was made to be a reference to ancient greek architecture and art, it fails.

i DID get to try the armalite guitar last weekend, a recent acquaintance of mine actually owned one and i got to play with it for a few minutes in his apartment.

not bad, but the strings dont sustain that much, i dont like the neck feel and the pickups are downright horrible.

but hey not bad for a "costume" party guitar hehehehe

Sobra naman kayo guys.

Beauty is in the eye of the guitar holder...  Never mind.

If the guy likes it, and he thinks it plays well enough for his purposes, let him have his moment.

I wouldn't mind trying it out, at least.  I'd like to have a top custom-carved as well, but I don't like the griffin.  Mukha ko na lang, if ever.   :-D

yup diasy rock play good but their market is for girls, the hello kitty strat is fun i tried it the clean is ok but the overall output is not that great, a pickup change would do it nicely..

in marketing we call it the magic of the endorser.

for example, if Michael Jordan endorses Wheaties and Gatorade, it is automatically assumed subliminally that in order to play great one has to take Wheaties and Gatorade.

same with basketball shoes, fans buy the shoes irregardless on the looks and actual feel. whats important they use the shoe thier idol endorses.'

as with guitars, if Kirk Hammet endorses a RJ guitar, for sure thousands of guitar fans will purchase one..... irregardless of the actual feel and sound of the guitar.

i cant blame him tho, i would blindly buy a DimeBolt because Dimebag endorses it... and likewise with a Hetfield ESP explorer.

its all about marketing baby.

Crushed, but saved.

I like that.    :-D

With regards to endorsements, I'm sure some of us bought stuff because of endorsements.  Yes, Dimebag's Dimebolt, Satch's Peavey JSX, Vai's JEM's (we could go on).  But really, it's up to you if you find value in the product after buying it.  If you really like it (it makes you feel like Vai or Jared Leto) and people scoffed at you for buying these things, I'm sure it would not affect how you value it.  But if you realize that you were a sucker for marketing, then you'd be messed up emotionally.

To TS, I hope you like your guitar, coz then it wouldn't matter what we think of it.  If you realize it's really a bad instrument, then chalk it up as a lesson learned.

My two cents?  It's not for me.  Top carvings are a novel idea, but not with the griffin thingy (why call it a pythagoras anyway?).  It's not that butt-ugly, if it's worth anything.   :-)
