Brod, experience ko din yan nung bago ako. nainis ako sa sax dahil ipinahiya ako sa actual performance. Pumiyok. But I discover, habang tumatagal ako sa pagtugtog at tumataas ang skills ko sa pagform ng embouchure, nawawala ang piyok, althought there are some occassionally lalo na kapag kinakapos ako ng hininga. Pero, it is possible nga na may leak ang tonehones. Mine is when I hit the octave key. The octave key raises in a very tiny gap everytime I hit 2nd octave key. I tried to bend the octave lever. Konti lang. It solved the problem.

Hindi nabibili ang leak light. gawin mo: get a small flashlight and insert it in the neck. Use packing or masking tape to fix it on the neck entry. Turn it ON. Patayin mo ang ilaw sa room mo. Dapat madilim talaga. Then, press all keys. Press them tight and see if there are lights escaping from the tone holes. If there are no lights escaping, no leak. It's your embouchure that causes the squeak. If it has, it needs repadding.

Train and practice on your embouchure.

bro, ipatry mo muna sa marunong.. baka ikaw lang ang problema,,kasi mahirap patunugin ang low notes sa umpisa esp.. beginner ka pala.. pa-evaluate mo ang sax.. teka anong brand ba yan?..ok b ang mga pads baka luma na.. kung may budget ka paayos  or pakondisyon mo napara mas magaan hipan..

Check your G# key by using leak light. Pag meron leak ito kahit napakaliit sisipol ka talaga sa lahat na ng notes pababa after G#. Kung konti lang ang leak ng G# tutunog naman pero kailangan malakas ang blowing mo. Paano kung mabilisan na ang piyesa, mahirap nang gawin na lagi na lang bang madiin ang pindot sa keys. Kailangan talaga ma check din iba pang pads baka nga luma or warp na at hindi na kaya pang i adjust, kailangan na talagang palitan pads.

I used to have this problem of whistling sound in my alto before.First I checked whether my G# key is leaking as this is the most common cause of this problem. Second I adjusted the position of my reed. I put the tip of the reed exactly in line or even slightly beyond the tip of my mpc. You may wish to try this approach.
