Recommend a guitar teacher for a complete newbie
« on: June 23, 2012, 10:44:51 AM »
Good morning masters.  Can you recommend someone na guitar teacher that do home classes sa Global City sa Taguig?  Bali gusto kasi matuto ng boss kong Indiano ng guitar, niregaluhan kasi siya ng misis niya  ng accoustic  guitar kaso di niya magamit dahil ala siyang alam.  Kailangan lang marunong siyang magturo at magpaliwanag in English since di nakakaintindi ng Filipino.  Di naman kailangan na fluent na fluent (although mas ok kung fluent), pero at least he/she has a good command in English.

He's around 30+ at pagdating sa music, zero knowledge siya, but he's a techy guy since he's the head of our IT Department.  He just brought this up to me yesterday, so regarding his availability di pa sure but probably weekends ang magiging sessions if ever.

Thanks in advance sa sasagot.

The interwebs and google is the best teacher right now, there are tons of lessons on youtube and all(if not most) of them are in english.

question lang, what style of playing does he want to learn? Or basic chords palang gusto niyang aralin?

Gusto ko rin makahanap ng teacher pero yung tugma sa "level" ng playing ko. Any ideas? Cavite area ako.

Kasi I can say na past na ko sa beginner stage pero nararamdaman kong di ako gagaling or atleast mag eexcel sa pagtugtog kasi wala namang music expert dito samin :(

you can not ask youtube questions and expect answers seconds later.

I cant confidently agree that online resources are the best place to learn. I feel that one must possess if not a great deal of experience and depth of understanding as to what he exactly wants, at least analytical skills to be able to absorb a one-way lesson.

Nothing beats the interpersonal experience of having someone in front of you who can be quizzed on the spot and to provoke thinking. Particularly if the individual is a beginner, as novice learners have specific learning needs

I work in d bgc area and live in taguig. feel free to pm me, and if schedule permits, id be glad to help your boss out.

Basta pang beginner na lesson sir, mas maganda kung organized as modules.

Thanks nga pala sa lahat ng nagreply!
