Here are my latest set of settings for the Zoom G5, G3/X, G1/Xon, MS100BT, MS50G, and the MS70CDR (modulations only).
Notes:
1. This was tweaked using a humbucker-equipped guitar. Some sounds may need tweaking depending on what guitar you use, or tonal preferences.
2. The settings were developed through my A/B/X/Y method B (
http://talk.philmusic.com/index.php?topic=291551.0) of comparing a digital unit to analog pedals using an A/B switcher pedal (i.e. Boss LS-2).
"Distortion 1" - my go-to distortion preset for leads and rhythm, this models the sound of my main distortion pedal, a modified MI Audio Tube Zone. Two pedal simulations are required.
1. Squeak:
* Gain – 75
* Tone – 100
* Level – to taste
2. ParaEQ:
* Freq1 – 100Hz
* Q1 – 0.5
* Gain1 – 12
* Freq2 – 3.2kHz
* Q2 – 0.5
* Gain2 – negative (-) 3
* Level – 100
"Distortion 2" - my "Marshall" themed rock/metal distortion settings. The first Dist+ models a DOD YJM308 overdrive/boost pedal. The second Dist+ models a runoffgroove.com Thor (
http://www.runoffgroove.com/thor.html) Plexi emulator pedal. Together, they produce a sound reminiscent of 80's rock and metal tones, and is perfect for shred/neoclassical lead playing. Turn off the first Dist+ for a really good medium gain rock tone.
Two pedal simulations are required.
1. Dist+:

* Tone - 100
* Level - 150
2. Dist+:
* Gain - 60

"Fuzz" - This models the sound of a silicon Fuzz Face circuit. The compression characteristics are very close to the real analog pedal, but the cleanup sound is a little different.
FuzzSmile:
* Gain - 70
* Tone - 100
* Level - to taste
"Katana Boost" - models the sound of a Keeley Katana with the pull boost knob out (on).

"Tubescreamer" - models the sound of an Ibanez TS808 with all the controls at 12 o'clock.

* Tone - 50

"Small Clone" - models the sound of an Electro Harmonix Small Clone chorus with the DEPTH switch down, and the knob at around 11:30.
Chorus:
* Depth - 17
* Rate - 25
* Level - 40
"Acoustic (neck humbucker)" - models the sound of an Ovation Applause acoustic guitar piezo output. Designed to work best with a neck humbucker position, this may or may not work with single coils. Tweak settings to taste.
