there are three options that i know of:

1. find/form another band
so your band mates don't like you or your playing? go find someone who will. with communities like this philmusic, it's not that difficult anymore to find people with the same interests/preference as you. better yet, if you have side projects, then consider it a blessing that you have one band less to worry about. you'll have more time to devote to the side project.

2. go solo
try going accoustic. or doing a one-man-band thing. with the latest technology, you can have a recording studio in your very own desktop computer! isn't that what ely buendia did once as a side project? going solo, you'll have complete control of your music. to paraphrase jack black in "school of rock", no one will question your creative control regarding the musical direction of your music. and, just imagine, if you make it big as a solo act, you'll get 100% of the talent fee, instead of just a portion. hmmm... in fact some people say bands are just their stepping stone for a solo career. hehe.

3. quit music
this option is specially for those who's been dropped off for, like, the tenth time already. learn how to read the signs, maybe the tenth time means something. there's no shame in quitting. maybe you'll fit better in another field. or, if you really like music, and really want a musically-related career, then maybe you'll really show your best in being an instructor, or a roadie, or a recording engineer, or a manager, or a label executive. hey, that isn't too bad. :D

no latin expert here, but if i'm not mistaken, horace's popular passage went like "carpe diem, quam minimum credula il postero"--correct me kung mali.

if i were to be dropped off by my group, they'd regret it!
