Chrome to Ditch Support for XP, Other Aging OSes
« on: November 12, 2015, 06:06:04 PM »
Google Chrome will end support for Windows XP, Windows Vista, and older versions of Mac OS X in the spring.

Since Microsoft and Apple no longer support the aging operating systems, neither will Google Chrome, which ends browser updates and security fixes in April 2016. After that, continue using the platforms—which include OS X 10.6, 10.7, and 10.8—at your own risk.

"If you are still on one of these unsupported platforms, we encourage you to move to a newer operating system to ensure that you continue to receive the latest Chrome versions and features," Marc Pawliger, director of engineering, wrote in a blog post.
