I own a Marshall and Hartke stack but this is my favorite guitar amp.

 :-D

obviously because its my first ever amp back in 1994.... yung VCD player lang ang pinalit dati it was a Karaoke system "head".

and I still plug my guitar into it once in a while.

by no means is this an expensive amp, but it's special to me. I was born 1979. i believe this was purchased around 1975 by my grandmother who was a music teacher and composer. when she died this old thing spent a few years gathering dust, completely ignored. later on it was taken in by my tita.

i was contemplating on buying another amp a few months ago when i suddenly remembered this beauty. so i got in touch with my tita, bugged her a few times if she would sell the amp to me since she's not using it anymore. finally she decided to just give it to me, for free.

as soon as i got it home i instantly plugged my guitar in. tone heaven! my guitar never sounded better. amazing for clean settings, gives a little more bite than my peavy rage amp when overdriven. reverb settings make you sound a little less lonely during practice. this is one amp i'm going to treasure not just because of its tone, but also because it's practically part of the family.  :-D

Tweed Champ, 5F1 circuit. Single ended class A amp.
Has one 6V6 power amp tube, one 5Y3 rectifier tube, and a single 12AX7 preamp tube. 8" Weber Vintage series AlNiCo speaker. Breaks to a very nice tube distortion at around 7 on the volume control. 5 watts of pure tone. This gets more play at home than my larger amp does. I love this to bits!

It was made by a TGP member from a Headstrong kit. It was in the Amp Emporium for the longest time without any taker. He finally listed it on ebay. The itch for a tweed got the better of me. I sold my 1970's Silverface Champ to come up with the money. PM'd him in TGP and he pulled it out of the listing a couple of days before it ended. Got it for just $375 shipped.
Sayang, hindi mo nasubukan nung birthday ko, nasa labas yun noon eh.

hehehe...

i dont have a High end amp to be honest, i just have my ever trust worthy Sony karaoke. nyahaha. and sa kanya na ko natutong mag rock and roll. Hindi namana nagrereklamo si Cheri "My SG" ok naman daw..

Magkakaroon din ako nyan!! wahahahhaa!! work lang ng work! para mag ka amp!

chad"ik

ok lang yan, dude. I used to rock out in my friendskaraoke back then. You can get by with any guitar amp and you don't need to spend tons for one if you can't buy one asap. I'm still happy with my old hotcabs and my trusty valvestate and even got a cheap tube amp recently. There are a lot of local tube amp makers already who can offer very competitive pricing if you're on a budget.

Kaka-score ko lang nung Handog Sale...

Thanks LLB.

I was choosing between this amp, the Line 6 Spider III 30W 1x12 & Vox Valvetronix AD30VTXL or a tube amp as a workhorse practice amp at home. I chose this amp because I like the tones I get from it. I never really liked Line6's emulations while the Valvetronix have some reliability issues. I also realized that I really have to crank a tube amp to get good tones out of it. I guess I'm not going to use my effects for a while. :D

My next amp purchase siguro next year na yun will be a 2x12 gigging amp. Di ko pa lang alam kung tube or solid state bibilhin ko.
